After what seemed life forever somebody started playing - almost enchanting music. I had almost got used to the pain so i didn’t scream as much.
The women’s voice talked to me for a while and told me about her and her family.
"I am Siobhan. “She said “i will explain everything to you. You must not be afraid. I am a vampire and you are becoming one. You are now part of the Irish coven and i am afraid you will never be able to see your family again. My...adopted daughter tried to save you from those horrible boys yesterday but your scent of blood was too much
For Maggie - that’s my daughter. She bit you. Right now you are becoming one of us. My mate Liam does not have any special talent but my daughter does.
She can tell if somebody is lying or not. It is very useful to us. My good friend Carlisle thinks i to have a power - to manipulate the outcome of a situation by hoping it will go a certain way.
I tried to take everything all in, putting the pain to the side for a while. Was i dreaming? Had i really became ... a vampire? What had Siobhan said about not seeing my family again? She said Maggie had...bit me yesterday...had i been in pain for that long?
Siobhan told me about being a newborn vampire and how hard it is to be one. She told me about her coven and her friends the Olympic coven. She told me about the Volturi and about keeping the vampire secret from the humans. She then let Maggie talk to me.
"I am Maggie as you might know. I have been a vampire for a while now. I’ve not aged i am always going to look like a fourteen year old girl. Vampires do not age. It will be very hard for you not being able to see your family again and having to cope with being a newborn. I am so sorry this has happened to you .The guilt is swallowing me up. I feel terrible."
I wanted to tell her not to be upset. But i was in too much pain. I couldn’t believe my family thought i was dead. I thought hard, i was stuck fourteen for life, i could maybe have a power. I wanted to ask questions.
Maggie told me that i will be very strong, stronger than older vampires’ .That i would be able to hear indescribably well, better than any human. She also told me that i would be able to move in the blink of a human eye. Maggie kept on talking telling me about not sleeping and my new 'diet'.
When Maggie stopped talking i wondered what i would look like? I had been told i will look beautiful to the humans and that i would have red eyes.
Liam then came to talk to me. He didn’t say much i thought he would have been shy. He seemed almost - worried.
The music kept playing. I wondered how long the pain would go on for. Siobhan carried me into another room. It had been about three days since the park, since i had seen my family. I thought about what mom would have done when she found my bag with my cell-phone in it and all the other dead bodies around it.How will she live now with me 'dead’. I wanted to cry ... but i couldnt.The burning started going away my head didn’t burn then my arms then all the way down to my toes.
The pain had gone... i was a vampire.
I could see again. I felt really strange. The first thing i saw was the worried looks on three beautiful faces."Hello!"Maggie said. Her expression more calm now. I felt almost happy but then the burning started again this time it was just in my throat.

"Here drink this. “Siobhan handed me cup. It smelt so good i felt my whole body shudder as she gave it to me.
