"Siobhan still hadn’t let go "come back to the house with us please. “She said her eyes were full of interest.
She let go of me.Maggie stuck to my side walked - or should i say flew with me to the vampire’s house. I hadn’t had time to look at the house properly before. It was massive! The walls were brown - the same colour of the trees. A large wooden door opened. When i got in the house the smell shocked me. The smell of pine wood and other mesmerizing scents filled the air.
Old looking furniture was placed around the room. Maggie held my hand and pulled me along, at human speed. It frustrated me moving at such a slow speed, so i decided to pull Maggie along. We speed up the long wooden spiral staircase and in a second we were up the stairs. “Do you want to see my room?!"Maggie giggled excitedly.
"I thought you said that vampires didn’t sleep? “I said completely confused.
"I know but we still have rooms Lalya!"
"Ok then I’ll see your room."
She playfully - and cautiously pulled me into her room. It was amazing. A whole wall was full of books. A beautiful grand piano sat at the large window. She also had a flute, violin and a guitar in a little corner. At the other side of the room there was a wooden desk with pictures of Maggie in frames on IT.
"Well what do you think?!"Maggie asked “i decorated it myself; nobody else has been in my room. I don’t have any friends...but now i have you!"
"Maggie this is beautiful! “I said moving about touching all the books pressing the keys of the piano. “I can’t believe you play 4 instruments! “I blabbed.
"Actually i play six and a half - i don’t know if singing counts".
I was stunned. “It’s so big!"
"Yours is bigger. “Maggie hinted.
"Are you kidding me? I have a room!"
"Well Layla this is a pretty big house it has eight bedrooms in it."
Oh this house was bigger and obviously more beautiful than i had thought. “Can i see it? “I almost whispered now really excited with my new room.
"C'mon then! “Maggie laughed. I followed her up another set of stairs.
Then we climbed up a ladder and opened a wooden door. Not knowing what to expect i hesitated before throwing the door open - nearly breaking it and gasped.
The room was so massive. The sun shone in through the balcony. Nothing was in it but sunlight. I speed onto the balcony. We were so high up! About as tall as the trees. One tree stood right next to the balcony and i could touch it."Our job is to decorate your room! Maggie said. She surprised me. I had been so distracted i forgot she was there. “Decorate it! WOW really! This is amazing! I can’t believe it."
Maggie showed me the rest of the house. It had 5 floors. Every room more enchanting than the other. When we went back to my room Maggie asked if i wanted to go outside. I made my way to the door then realised she wasn’t following me. She jumped out the window. I ran out to see her. “Maggie what are you doing! “I yelled in shock.
"Going outside c’mon! “I decided to do what she had done this was clearly normal for vampires - to jump off balconies. Maggie danced on the branched making it look easy. Singing and swooping her way down the stunning large tree until she jumped and landed - on her feet with about a sound! I would never have been able to do this.
I jumped, going further than i thought was imaginable i had put so much strength into my jump i had missed the tree by about 2 miles! Maggie was at me in about 4 seconds. “Wow you’re a good jumper!"
"Thanks, how did you do that so well on the tree? “I asked in amazement.
"Years of practice!"
We both ran about. I tried to put of the burning and then made myself feel full.Wich was apparently strange according to Maggie. She said that no newborn could ever stop their thist.Infact no vampire could ever make them self-fell full. I thought about this.Maby i had a special power like Maggie!"Hey Maggie. “I called she was at me in an instant."Yeh? "She said.
"I was wondering...do you think i might have a special power...like you do?"
"You might...how 'did' you control your thirst?"
"I just make myself feel full! It’s not that hard."
"Layla ...yes it is - especially when you are a new born."

"Maybe we should go to the Volturi - they might be able to know what your talent is. A visit has been expected from us to the Volturi. They want to see me when i have mastered my powers."
I thought...When Siobhan told me about the Voltiri, i didn’t like the sound of them.
