Cooper had almost fallen asleep on the patio chair when he remembered that his fair skinned princess was not only naked, but had no sun screen on. So he ushered her back inside, pretending not to notice the way the cool indoor air made her exposed nipples harden.
That had been hours ago. The two of them had since taken showers and gotten dressed, they were now sitting in Coopers office. Natalie was playing with her new cell phone while Cooper quietly worked across from her.
Natalie was trying to be inconspicuous while she scoured her brain for anything she knew about cell phones or technology but was unfortunately coming up short. She knew it would be near impossible to just call 911, not that the police had been able to help her when she escaped before. The only chance she had was to somehow get a hidden message out to her family or friends.
They sat in relative silence until a large rumbling sound interrupted Coopers train of thought. He paused, his large hands hovering over the keyboard and looked up to a blushing Natalie. He watched her face turn pink when she tried to subtilely wrap an arm around her stomach.
"I think it's time to get something in that tummy of yours." Cooper remarked, mentally scolding himself for not feeding her a snack earlier. 'She's never going to get some meat on those bones if I don't step it up' he thought.
As Cooper led them out of the office and down the hallway to the kitchen he sent a quick text to Sam, telling his little brother to run across town and pick up a special surprise for Natalie. It had been on his mind all day to do something nice for her, his good mood clouding the few mishaps they've had so far.
Their impromptu meal consisted of random things that Cooper could find in his fridge, he didn't really put too much thought into it, too preoccupied with how he imagined Natalie reacting when Sam returned.
Sam promptly returned, leaving the package in the living room without being seen, as per Coopers instructions. He sent a text saying it was done and then snuck back out the front door, happy with the knowledge that Natalie was safe and spoiled for now.
"Are you almost finished?" Cooper asked the second he was done.
"Yes, thanks." Natalie answered, confused why Cooper would let her get away with eating so little. She had noticed that he takes her food very seriously.
"Perfect, come. I have a surprise for you." Cooper jumped up from his seat and practically pushed her into the living room.
Natalie froze in the archway to the living room. Sitting on the coffee table was a small package that she recognized immediately. It was a pastry box from the Grimaldi's bakery, she had sold hundreds of them in her short period of employment.
Her eyes welled up with tears that she didn't quite understand, the nostalgia of something so meaningless was suddenly hitting her. She had assumed that it was something she would never see again, a part of her old life that would be forever left behind. Even if she managed to escape she would never be able to go back to her old job.
"Is- is that for me?" She asked, pointing at the dessert.
"A classic vanilla cupcake, your favourite." Cooper replied, nodding his head.
Despite her personal feeling for the man, Natalie couldn't help but smile. She had mentioned, in the car on the way to his house for the first time, how much she adored the secret family recipe used to make these cupcakes.
"I want nothing more than to spoil you." Cooper walked around a frozen Natalie and grabbed the small box. "If you keep being a good girl for me, you will get so much more than this little thing." He spoke, passing the food to her.
It could have been nice. The peaceful afternoon, the quiet meal, and the thoughtful surprise should have made Natalie happy and at ease. Sadly it was accompanied by a searing pain that shoots down to her abused insides with every movement. A painful reminder of where she was and who she was with.
Cooper sent Natalie back upstairs with her treat. He assured her that she was not in trouble. Even an emotionally inept man like him could see that she needed some alone time, he had not expected tears from her and was unsure if they had been happy ones or not.
So Natalie retreated to their bedroom, comforted in the fact that she would be alone for the time being. Once inside the room she veered straight for the closet to add a few layers of clothing. She had been told what to wear after her shower earlier, but had not been told that she had to stay that way.
"Okay, time to figure you out." She mumbled aloud to her new cellphone.
The next few hours were spent with Natalie curled up in a blanket on the couch snacking on her cupcake while trying to figure out a plan for her phone. So far she had come up with a couple ideas, but she had to figure out exactly how her phone was hooked to Coopers and what exactly he could see her doing on it.
Slowly a plan began to form in her mind, but she would need some alone time with Sam to get it started. 'Now I just need to wait.' She thought, not willing to rush anything and get Sam into trouble again.
