Deficit

What do you see in me?

Is it simply the faults,

that you always seem to point out.

Can you only see the negative in my work?

None of the good aspects, that you say that I have.

You say that I have incredible talents; yet,

whenever I try to aspire to new highs

you always tear me down.

Everyone seems to look at the bad,

never seeing the bright light I have inside.

Do you like to tear me down? Does that make you

any better than me?

How does tearing me down,

By my weight, height, body type, how disorganized,

you think I am.

 I know I seem apathetic and uncaring;

yet you see how bad that is. What I see,

a girl who sees a realistic world

A world in which good doesn't always triumph

over evil.

You say that I'm spacy; but what I see, is someone

with an imagination. Like I've said, you see only

the negative. You don't see the creative light

which irradiates from everything that I am.

Hey guys so this poem and the next are deficit poems that I was told to write and I wanted your opinion on which one I should turn in. Please either vote or comment on both or one. Thank you.
