Misa left after Y/N threatened her. Y/N and I are sitting in the front as Yagami is tied up in the closet. I had Watari leave after he brought me here. I told him it was a personal matter which he didn't believe, but he still left either way.
"You're either nervous or angry due to your rapid leg shaking." I finally say, carefully dabbing the warm cloth against her skin.
She heaves a sigh.
Ah, she's frustrated.
"I just can't believe this. After everything I did for him and busted myself for." I set the towel down and stare at her. She's still pretty even with marks.
When I came in, something just shifted in my brain. Something unnatural. I wanted to harm him...it was justified enough to harm him though. I shouldn't be in too much trouble.
But that's if they let Mr.Yagami know of this endeavor.
Y/N scoffs. "And for what? So he could cheat on me with her? Of all people her? I have the right to drag her too. And then he hits me." She slaps the desk, her leg bouncing rapidly as she shakes her head in disbelief.
"I'm glad you're okay."
She looks at me. Her brows knot together and the bouncing stops. Y/N changed her posture, placing her hands between her legs and exhaling a sharp breath.
Interesting. Very interesting on how quickly she can adjust her body language.
"Thank you. I just don't know what to do."
"So he knows about us." It wasn't a question either.
She nods. "Yeah. He knows. And ever since the first time we did it too." She says chuckling and shaking her head in bewilderment. "He's not even innocent." She says but more to herself.
"Y/N.." She looks at me. "He's gone." I have to now play as a hopeless romantic. Someone who's obsessed and would do every and anything for her when she says.
"I would never hurt you." I touch her cheek as she stares at me. "You're too beautiful for that." She sighs.
"I'm just tired, Light. Uh, L. Sorry. So sorry. I-it's been a long day and I just can't wrap my head around him almost killing me." She wavers. "He almost killed me." She finally realizes.
Y/N springs up and storms off. I get up, following behind her. The store is still locked and thankfully I haven't gotten called to work as yet. Thankfully.
We reached the storage room and Light is pushed up against boxes. He's been moving around obviously without our supervision. He said nothing, he only chuckled to himself and shook his head.
"You almost killed me!" She stomps him in his private and he grunts. "You are so insane! You better be lucky I haven't called Mr.Yagami to tell him about this."
When he said nothing Y/N went to hit him again until I stopped her. "It's not worth it." I whisper to her. Y/N pulled her hand from me and was nearly out of the door until Light said the magic words.
"I love you."
She really stopped in her tracks.
"I really love you, Y/N. I'm sorry." He whispers.
Now I see why he stayed alive as long as he did. He's smart indeed, also a master manipulator. He knows her emotionally and physically. Knows what she likes, what she craves. He knows how to push her buttons and when.
And it got me thinking one thing, what do you do when three overly intelligent people are in the same room?
Yagami is far from stupid and the fact that he known way before now goes to show he's always alert and on his toes and can hide it with ease. Y/N is a strategic; she waits, she thinks, she gains control. And as for me...I'm all of the above.
All the possibilities that could take place, each with an ending as well. Good and bad. But what would she do?
Yagami pushed it.
He sighs. "Let's talk. Just the two of us alright? I...I messed up. But I love you."
My eyes drift to Y/N. Her fingers fidget and she hesitates.
"Look at me. Come on." He taunts. I know he's faking it all. His response seems performed and thought out. He knows her. But what I do know is that Y/N is more of a strategist than he.
Y/N walks out without looking back at him. I noticed her balled fists, how she trembled to react.
"You know she'll be back to me right?" That made me look at him and stop in my tracks from leaving after her. He shrugs. "We fight all the time, it's what couples do you know? She'll be back to me."
We stare. His features fell back to that quiet stern look he always had. Then he stands, his hands dropping to his side. I notice blood. I just stood there as he walks in front of me as if to intimidate me.
"To make you feel better...Y/N doesn't love me."
"Just stay away from her."
"I notified your father about what you did. I thought it would be best if he monitors you and your anger. He'll be here in ten minutes since he was on a case."
He glares. "You're bluffing."
I look up, humming before looking back at him. "No, I don't think I am. But this is what's best for you." I touch his shoulder and he smacks my hand away.
"Bastard." He grits before walking out. I only moved when I heard something break.
Is he really going to continue this with me here?
I walk out and Y/N is standing in the corner behind the cash register. Yagami walked out and I look over to her. She shook her head and began picking up the broken glass at her feet.
How insufferable really. I can never understand toxic relationships. Then again...they're both psychopaths so this is a deadly one.
The only thing I can do is console her. I went over and helped her clean up. It was quiet, no sound but calming breathing. Something feels like a ploy, like a game and they're both in on it.
However...in order to know that, I have to monitor them both. Y/N all by myself and Yagami at headquarters with the help of Watari.
They're playing games and it makes me wonder.
Are they both Kira?
But what is Misa for?
