"𝑶𝒉 𝒎𝒚 𝒈𝒐𝒔𝒉 Y/N are you okay!?" Misa asks the moment she saw me. She ran up to me and hugged me. I hugged her back.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Police tapes are up and they're still kind of investigating the scene. The random guy was an asylum escapee and was having a panic episode, according to Yagami's dad.
"When I saw the police I thought something bad had happened."
"Just some random guy that was off his meds. He wasn't able to hurt me."
Yagami came up to me and took a seat on the chair next to mine. He handed me a cup of coffee and I took it.
"Oh, hi Light." Misa greets softly. I know she has to like Yagami in some way. She's always stumbling over her words, or tripping over things. The story on how he and I even began dating is a question of it's own.
And I fucking kissed that L guy. I kissed him. I practically cheated! Fuck. I did cheat! I kissed him!
"L! L!"
I gazed over at the door to see a guy handling a suitcase in one hand. He looks angry. L, who was still here even after everything happened, tried to walk off but was stopped. He just avoided my gaze. Literally it was like I wasn't here at all.
L looked at the guy calling him and tilted his head. "What the hell!? I went to see if you were okay and this is where you are?! Unbelievable. What are you even doing here!?"
"I wanted a muffin." He lies. The man scoffed and shook his head.
"If you pull some crap like this again I'll murder you."
"Yet you can't bear the right of animals being slaughtered. Tofu consumer."
The man gaped. "Excuse me!?"
L didn't respond. I got up from my seat to thank him respectfully this time.
"Where are you going?" Yagami asks. I pulled my hand back.
"To thank the person that saved my damn life." He didn't get here until two damn minutes ago and decides to bring me a coffee?
Bastard.
Finally L looked my way as I invaded his view. "Hi." He said nothing. "I um...just wanted to say thank you for being here when you could've." Nothing. Is this a front? He was just talking a minute ago.
"Umm... whenever you come back just know that everything you get is on the house for the next month."
"No." He dismisses.
"What?"
"No." L began walking off and I just watched him, having no other words to spare. I shook my head and made my way back over to Misa and Yagami. I took a seat and finally picked up my coffee.
Yagami took the cup from my hand and handed it to Misa. "What the hell Light?"
"Let him get it for you. Since he's out saving you." He mutters.
