Council Meeting

987 23 2

I made my  way to the meeting in an elegant black high low flowing dress wearing a feather in my hair with angel wing earrings and a necklace to match, black knee-high boots.
"Everyone is here now. Let us begin." Council Wheele said when I saw Michael in the corner leaning his arms crossed on his chest.
"You talk of this Chosen One Michael, Why hasn't he shown himself then, are we to go on your own words?" Council Wheele asked smartly.
"The Chosen One is among us, but for now you will have to trust me Councilman Wheele." Michael hissed looking dead at me giving me butterflies and goosebumps my cheeks burning.
"So for now we have to go on your word?" Councilman Wheele said disgusted.
"You can trust Michael Councilman Wheele," I say looking at Michael, "Michael has never misled us."
"Michael may not be a mystery to you Lady Risen, but he is to me." Councilman Wheele said making my father angry.
"Go on Michael." My father urged him kindly ignoring David Wheele.
"Alex Lannon please come out where the council can see you." Michael commands when I stood up at the sound of my fathers name and watched as he came out from the shadows in an archangel uniform like the one I wear when I clock in so to speak.
"Father??" I say looking at him and I pull out the picture from the letter I had in my dresses pocket and drop it, "It really is you..."
"Yes." He said smiling tears in his eyes, "Your so beautiful..."
"What are these markings?" I ask looking closely at his arms Michael watching with a slight smile.
"The markings of the Chosen One." He said when I was mesmerized by his divine masculinity and the fact you could see it even when he had clothes on!
"Can you read them Mr. Lannon?" My adoptive father said trying to steer my father Alex away from me because he was jealous of all the attention I gave my father even though he left me I knew it was for good reasons and that someday I would see him again.
"No." My father, Alex, answered.
"Can Michael?" I asked curiously.
"I can't." Michael says in the shadows.
Rebecca Thorton was my mentor, the lady prot-tem (Lady of the council) till I was of age to receive the title of Lady Prot-tem.
"Then who can?" David Wheele asked frustrated.
"The Chosen One." My father, Alex, piped up his arm around me.
"And what becomes of the girl?" My father, Sam Risen, asked protecting me.
"She's mine for the taking Risen, whether you like it or not." Alex said when I kept my mouth shut knowing I didn't have a say in this matter at this time.
"She's the house of Risen Mr.
Lannon." My adoptive father replied.
"That may be but at heart she'll always be a Lannon Sir." Alex said when I looked at my adoptive father and he was standing up when my original father took me by the wrists with me facing him.
"Dad?" I say confused.
"It's okay Nomes." Alex called me by my middle name Noma named after my mother.
"What's--" I stopped watching the tattoo's disappear from his body and looked down seeing them appear on me as Michael watched me too. I twisted my arms and everyone gasped seeing the tattoos on my back, because I had a backless dress on.
Michael kneeled before me and I looked at him confused.
"Michael I..." I stopped when he glared at me.
"Alyssa is the baby I protected all those years ago." Michael said when I looked confused and sad at the same time. Then I felt betrayed by my real father Alex.
He went to touch my shoulder when I swatted his hand away glaring icily at him.
"Don't touch  me!!!" I snarled darkly, "Go back to whatever hole you crawled out of. You never had a daughter!"
I looked at him clenching my hands in a fist and my arms shaking as tears fell smearing my make-up.
"Go!" I shouted motioning to him and stormed out of the council-room Michael following me.
