I cleaned the dirt off his cheek gingerly seeing a bruise coming up on his cheek and a nasty gash across his collar. I placed a gauze pad then gauze on it pulling the collar of his top back up. I threw everything else that was extra away. I came back slipping off my shoes and pulling my hair into a low messy ponytail at the nape of my neck lying beside Michael. I wanted to be there when he woke up to comfort him, if he wanted me too.
I kept having nightmares about him dying and each time it happened it was worse than the previous. I woke up suddenly and felt around Michael's space beside me vacant. I walked up to where he was standing.
"Hi Aly."
"What's the matter Michael?"
"I'm thinking Aly."
He turned around cupping my cheeks like He once did Beccas but he felt like this was actually real emotion and actual love, not me just using him.
"Jesus, that's scary Michael." I say when he slightly smiled tilting his head to the side, "About what?"
"Us."
I smiled.
"The ring I gave you, there wasn't time at the moment, but there is now. Its a promise ring to show how much I love you Aly. I can't explain how much I love you, I just do."
I smiled when he kissed me with pure emotion in it as I backed into the steps stepping over and falling onto his bed giggling as I got tangled in the sheets with him.
"I love you too Michael."
