Eunjoo's POV
"Felix."
"Huh?" he looks so bothered as he answered me
"You seem bothered about something. Are you okay?"
He nodded and gave me a smile. Yesterday, he went home and I can't even talk to him properly, as if he is in deep thoughts. I tried calling him a lot of times but he was so busy thinking about something. I wonder if the company is messing up with his mind.
Today, Felix and I agreed to pick up the kids, that's why we're a little late. I had to wait for Felix to finish the meeting. The kids have been wanting their Dad to pick them up but Felix is always busy with his work.
"Should we buy them some food?" he asked
"Let's do that later. I'm sure the twins are fighting again."
He chuckled and nodded as answer.
Just as we arrived, I saw two police cars parked in front of their school. Their teacher is standing there talking to the police, Yeji, Minho, Lexus, and Xing are here as well. What the hell is going on?
Felix and I hurriedly got out of the car and ran to them.
"What happened? Where are the kids?"
"Mom! Dad!" Yongjoo called and ran towards us
"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Where's your sister?"
"Lexus, where is my daughter?" Felix asked in a calm voice but I know how bothered he is
"We're trying to look for her, sir." police answered him instead
"W-What do you mean? Where is she?! Please, find her! I'm begging you."
"Your son said that he just went inside to get some chocolates and told her sister to stay still. It was also taken from the CCTV that she was here outside, but after a few minutes, she suddenly went somewhere and it's not taken from the CCTV anymore." police explained
Felix held me arms tight, trying to support me.
I can't believe this is happening right now. Are we too late? Did my daughter wander off when we're gone?
"Felix." Minho called, trying to calm him down
"Yeji, tell Hyunjin to call some private investigators." Felix said
Yeji nodded and hurriedly dialed his brother's number.
"Where would she go?" my voice broke as I felt weak, and fell on the ground
Xing hurriedly ran to me and tried to comfort me. I wanted to look for my daughter but how can I? I am too weak to even stand up. I can't lose her. I don't want to lose anyone. I won't be able to make it if I didn't find her.
Some police officers went back to their station to ready the police report and to have someone investigate the case. Our friends also arrived, as well as our parents when they heard the news about Eunlix.
"Eunjoo." Mom called and tried to comfort me
"Mom, they can't find her." I cried even more
"They will find her, okay? Don't lose hope." Mom told me and caress my back
What if Eunlix is crying right now? She's probably hungry. My baby is scared of being alone. What if it gets dark? She doesn't like dark places. She hates it a lot. I'm sure she's looking for-
"Mommy!" Eunlix called
I saw her running towards me.
"Baby!" I called and hurriedly ran towards her, and hugged her tight, "Where did you go?"
"Sweetheart, we're so worried." Felix said and hugged her tight as well
"Do you know how worried we are? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I asked as I checked on her body to see if there are some bruises or cuts, "I love you! I'm sorry we took so long to be here."
She just gave me a smile and hugged me, "I'm sorry, Mommy and Daddy."
"It's okay, baby. We're so glad that you're here now." Felix gave her a smile and carried her into his arms
Our friends are now checking on Eunlix and she doesn't seem shock or scared. She looks fine and happy. I looked at Yongjoo and Lexus is carrying him right now. He is staring at his sister.
"Sir, is it okay if we ask her some questions?" police officer asked Felix
Felix looked at me as if he is asking if I'm okay with it, I gave him a nod, "Can I stay with her while you ask her questions?"
Police officers started ask Eunlix some question and they are trying to be comforting as possible. They are even acting like they are just playing with her, I saw how Felix is trying to help to get some information from Eunlix.
"Eunjoo. Your daughter is fine now. Don't worry. We'll get to the bottom of this." Mrs. Lee told me as she gave me a hug
I nodded as an answer and forced a smile.
"Mommy!" Eunlix called and ran towards me as the questioning is done
"Eunjoo, there's something you need to know." Felix said as he went to me, and his expression is different from earlier, "I'm not even sure where Eunlix have heard about this but... it has something to do with Caius."
"What? What about him?"
"What do you mean?" Hyunjin asked as he heard about his name
I kneeled down to be on the same level as my daughter, "Eunlix, do you know Caius?"
She gave me a nod.
"H-How do you know him?"
"He went here earlier and he said that you and Dad are his friends. He even gave me this." she said and gave me a small box
"What is this?"
"He told me to give it to you." she said
I opened the box-
No way.
It was the same bracelet that he gave me before he died.
