Chapter 31

Riley's POV:
Me and Farkle went to My moms bakery and sat down. Maya's mom asked us if we new where Maya was because her twin cousins, Jade And Drew were staying over and her mom needed someone to watch them while she went out with Shawn. I texted Maya. She said her and Lucas were in the way.
" Riley" Farkle said
"Yea?" I said
" I love you" he said
" Farkle I know, I've known since we were in diapers." I laughed and sipped my frap.
" No this is different, ....I love you" he said again. but this time when he said it i didn't get the feeling I usually did when he said it. I swallowed the Saliva ball that was at the back of my throat
"You don't need to say it back, that's not what I want... I just want you to know" he smiled and I smiled back. then I got a text from Maya:
"I want you and Farkle to come over while I watch the twins with Lucas."
"We'll be there"
" Common lets go to Maya's" I said to Farkle taking his hand.

When we got there Lucas and Maya were in the living room watching "Girl Meets Universe" the twins were 7 and had an incredibly short attention span.
" can we go upstairs and color" Jade said
" sure whatever" Maya said staring at her phone. Jade and Drew went upstairs and we all started talking.
" ....sooooo ... are you... twooo ..." I said completely awkwardly.
"Were dating" Maya said smiling at me. I got up and hugged her. we hugged for a lot longer than I anticipated.
" I love you" she said
" I love you too" I said
"Awwwwwww" Farkle and Lucas said together. They both got up to join the hug.
"This is nice" I said
"I can feel the love" Farkle said
"I feel so close to you guys" Lucas said
" I cans freeze" Maya said
"What?" Everyone said
" I can't breath" she said
"Oh" we said at different times.
We broke the hug just as jade and drew came running down the stairs.
"Finished coloring?" Farkle asked.
" Yea were done now we're reading a book Maya wrote. It doesn't even make any sense." Drew said dropping the book on the floor. Maya dashed off the couch to get the book and told the twins to play in the back yard.
"Ok" they said in unison waking away.
There was a brief silence.
" you wrote... A book?" Lucas asked looking like he was going to laugh.
"No, there kids, their stupid, they don't know how to read, they don't know what there talking about, hahaha...ha" she said really fast.

Lucas's POV:
There was obviously something in that book she didn't want us to see. There was only one way to do this. I tickled her.
"No. stop.stop pleaseeee. she said squirming around. We all started laughing hysterically.
Once she had dropped the book I grabbed it off the floor. Lucas please don't she said trying to snatch it. I opened it and started reading. After a while she gave up and Sat next to me biting her lip. I couldn't believe some of the nasty things I was reading. It was her diary. She wrote about some of the things she had thought about when close to me. I was reading a part where she went into really vivid and detailed description and I got uh...hard. Maya noticed and laughed before snatching the book and saying,
"I tried to warn you" Riley and Farkle hadn't noticed and were watching girl meets universe when Maya put a pillow on my lap. Maya went to go sit with Riley.

Maya's POV:
I sat next to Riley.
"Can I see your book", Riley asked.
Riley would freak if she read it. Riley has the most innocent mind and heart. We only take her to see animated movies that are PG. My innermost thoughts would destroy her innocence.
"No" I say
"Pleassseee" she begs.
"Riley you may think it's kinda gross" I say
" Gross is my middle name" Riley says proudly .I start laughing and agree to give it to her.
Riley opens the book and flips to the first page. I stare at her face waiting for an expression.
