"You can't do this." "It wasn't my call, and you will do as you're told." Nicholas and Robert were arguing as they approached where Nicolette was waiting. "Its time to go." Robert called out. Nic turned and nodded walking toward them. "She's not like us Robert, they'll kill her." Nicholas growled. Nic touched his arm, turning him more toward her.

"I know what I'm doing. Please don't fight this. I want to fight." She squeezed his arm and walked before both of them to Roberts truck. There were five other cars waiting to follow them. She wasn't sure at that moment how many were inside each of them, who they were or what they were capable of, but she was sure they were heading out for battle and she was ready.

"Are you changing?" Robert asked when they were getting close. Nic shook her head. "I'll be fine. Do you think the others will mind if I borrow a little when we get there from them?" She'd never clarified exactly what she was borrowing to him, she didn't know how, and he'd never asked. "Most do what they're told. Some have heard rumors about the other night, so I think we have more help because they're curious what you'll do."

"Great." Nic mumbled. More for her to have to watch out for if they were not use to fighting. "Don't worry, they can all hold their ground, most just haven't cared before." he chuckled. "Besides, this is probably no where as dramatic as they're saying. We've been here before and they're newbies that have no clue what they're doing that we have to cut down before they make a mess of our town."

Nic glanced over at him, curious if he was trying to convince her or himself. When they approached the mines, she realized it was a phosphate mining plant. They passed the plant heading back farther off the main road. Nic looked around at the vast land around them. Well it wasn't going to be a sneak attack on their part. She wrinkled her nose at chemical smell that was penetrating the truck and was suddenly not wanting to open the door.

They slowed to a stop pulling off the main road. They could not see the group from here, but would apparently group up here and go on foot the rest of the way. Robert looked over at her. "Ready?" He was almost grinning, he loved this stuff, she could feel the excitement from him. "Almost."She held her hand out to him, which he took and flexed as he felt her pull power from him. She inhaled slowly feeling the rage he always kept tucked away, and exhaled slower as she forced it into control. "Ok lets go get some bad guys."

She started to pull away from him and he stopped her. "We aren't bringing them in Nic, we're taking them out. Don't hold back, even if you think you recognize someone. They're not the person you once knew and they will kill you if they get the chance." She nodded and slipped from the truck, leaving her jacket inside.

As the group gathered they discussed the direction they were last seen, were separated in groups to separate and attack from different directions. There was a total of fifteen of them, not including herself gathered together. Nic wasn't sure what they each were, though Robert had begun explaining different clans to her and their general abilities, its not like they wore a label. Nicolette walked through the crowd, resting her hand on different ones and meeting their gaze briefly before absorbing a small portion of power from them, only two resisted her touch.

When she returned to Robert her skin was crawling with power, her eyes glowed a deep emerald and her hair even seemed a little more vibrant if that was possible. She  clenched and released her hands waiting for the pep talk to end. She felt Nicholas watching her the entire time. She offered him a smile, though he wasn't in her group. As they began to separate he mouthed 'be safe' before turning away. Forget safe, she would be happy with alive.

In her group was Robert, Jason, Alice, and two others she hadn't met. She eyed them wondering what they were. Alice was a Malkavian and scary as hell, they'd met once on Roberts rounds. She listened as they whispered learning that the other two were named Sabra and Nikita. As they neared the area they began lowering, lending on their knees peering down into a small canyon that had been previously mined. It was near a body of water Nic was sure she didn't want to swim in. As she surveyed the grounds she saw them.
