NALA'S POV
It was one of those peaceful mornings, where you could forever sleep in and don't have to worry about anything and that you don't have to ever get up.
But sadly today seemed to not be that day where you get to sleep in, as I was awoken up by something or someone opening my blinds making me groan as the sunlight glared down over my closed eyelids.'No.... 5 more minutes.' I thought to myself keeping my eyes close.
"It's time to get up, today's the day the Pevensie children arrive." I heard Mrs Macready say as she pulled off the sheets from my bed and off of my body, making me shiver from how cold it suddenly had gotten.
"Really Mrs Macready couldn't you have woken me up when they got here?" I said groggily as I opened my eyes slowly and looking at Mrs Macready.
"Yes now up, up. I'm going to get the children and by the time I'm back, you better have their rooms all sorted out." Mrs Macready said before she turned around and headed towards the door. "Oh and make sure to look decent when they come." Mrs Macready finished with a rare -slightly faint seeing- smile before her permanent straight line took over her mouth, yet again.
I watched from my spot on the bed as Mrs Macready walked out of the room before groaning in frustration as I went over what she had said not too long ago. Meaning that not only do I have to spend almost the whole entire morning to sort out the Pevensie siblings room but I also have to look presentable which match Mrs Macready's expectations which is honesty..... sucks.
Getting out of bed, I then proceeded to stretch out my sore muscles. Sighing in pure bliss as all of my muscles aren't that tight I then trudged over towards my wardrobe, looking for an outfit for the day.
Opening my wardrobe door, I looked around for a decent outfit for the day, nodding in approval as I had found the right outfit For cleaning, which consisted of and old torn button-up t-shirt and some old pants, that I use for whenever I have to clean.
I then grabbed the clothes before I headed over towards my bathroom, which so happens to be in my bedroom which makes me happy since I won't have to share it.
I do not wish to bore you into my daily routine so just think of your usual shower/bath time routine. Getting out of the bath tub, I placed my night gown in the dirty hamper before exiting my bathroom and over towards my dressing table where I shall proceed to maintain the devil on my head.
Looking into the mirror I saw in the reflection that was looking back at me, my waist length blonde locks of hair and my piercing blue eyes looked back and my messy hair which makes me cringe because it looks like a birds nest.
Reaching for the brush I then proceeded to brush out the knots in my hair, wincing while I desperately tried my best not to full on rip out my hair, while I started to brush my hair I couldn't help but to think what the Penvensie children would be like. I mean is there one of them the same age age me? Will I make friends with them?
Shaking my head to clear the thoughts away as I finished brushing my hair and making sure all of the knots are out of my hair. For the hairstyle I decided to put my hair in a French braid, keeping some of the bangs to frame my face before sighing."Well time for breakfast." I said as I made my way out of my door and headed downstairs towards the kitchen.
As I made it to the kitchen I saw my grandfather already sitting down and eating his breakfast with a newspaper in his hand. I smiled at him when he looked up from his papers.
"Ah good morning Nala." Grandfather said.
"Good morning grandfather, how is your morning so far?" I asked as I sat down and started to eat my toast.
"It's be good my dear. I suggest you hurry and eat up so the Pevensie's rooms are ready." Grandfather said.
"Yes grandfather." I mumbled putting another piece of toast and plopping it into my mouth.
