What Happened to Us?

Chapter Five

(Dani's POV)

I look around at my...four sisters, as Lauren is driven away in an ambulance.

Christina is staring off after them, her lips parted as if she's going to say something, as silent tears roll down her cheeks.

Katherine is on the ground, her knees pulled up to her chest, her body racked with sobs.

Amy's jaw is dropped and her eyes are wide with shock as a single tears slips out.

And Lisa...Lisa is simply standing, frozen if seems, as if she is no longer capable of feeling anything.

At this, I feel the crushing weight of my lies pile on top of me and the guilt becomes suffocating.

"Guys" I blurt out, before I can think better of myself, and everyone's attention is on me.

I look around at the four sets of wet, broken, eyes and let out a shaky breath.

"I-I lied...Lauren never did anything to me...she was telling you all the truth" I say, and the silence somehow gets thicker.

Christina then walks up to me, her hands balled into fists, uncontrollable rage burning through her tears.

I go to say something but before I can, I feel her hand strike against my cheek.

I fall to the ground, my cheek stinging, tears prickling behind my eyes.

"DO YOU REALIZE WHAT YOUR LIES HAVE DONE!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!! HOW COULD YOU MAKE UP SUCH TERRIBLE LIES SO THAT WE WOULD ALL IGNORE OUR OWN SISTER!!!!"

She screams at the top of her lungs and I curl into myself in fear, my hang against my cheek.

"I'm sorry" I whimper.

"WELL SORRY ISNT GONNA FIX LAUREN IS IT!!!" Lisa screams and she suddenly throws herself at me.

I clench my eyes shut and prepare for the brutal attack, but it never comes.

I slowly open my eyes to see Lisa fighting against Katherine's grip, her eyes staring me down maliciously...if looks could kill.

"Lisa please calm down" Katherine soothes but Lisa continues to fight her.

"IF LAUREN DIES I WILL DESTROY YOU DO YOU HEAR ME!!!!" She screams, before finally breaking down in sobs in Katherine's arms.

Katherine holds her tightly as Christina walks over to them. Lisa lifts her hand and brings it to her cheek.

"I'm so sorry" she whispers and Christina shakes her head.

"No I'm sorry....I gave you such a hard time for being there for Lauren. If it wasn't for you we probably would've lost her a long time ago" her voice cracks terribly as she starts sobbing.

"Guys we should get to the hospital" Amy suddenly speaks and the others nod.

I go to follow them to our family van but Christina stops me.

"You're not going" she growls, narrowing her eyes.

I open my mouth to argue but the look she gives me suggests me to do otherwise.

So I can only watch as my sisters load into the van and drive away without me.

As soon as they're out of sight I collapse to ground in sobs. The only reason I told all those lies is because they all gave Lauren so much attention...and I was jealous.

I didn't know Lauren would become so depressed she'd try to kill herself!

Oh God...what have I done..

So it looks like Lisa is gonna forgive her sisters for ignoring Lauren. Yayyy.

Alright kids now to make up for my lack of updating I might update AGAIN later today!!
