Gazing around nervously I took in my surroundings, I was in a small rundown shed that looked as though it hadnt been tended to in a while with the amount of dusty crates surrounding me. I gathered up my newly found items and chucked them into my bag. Standing up in a near crouch I peered through the gaps in the wall trying to find my brother. He should've been here a while ago, It's been 15 minutes since I told him to meet me here.
A sudden noise struck me out of my thoughts and I quickly ducked behind a nearby crate slipping my most needed weapan swifly out of my jacket pocket; my stake.
Keeping a tight grip around it, I waited in the dimly lit corner for the reason behind its presence.
The wait was excruciatingly slow, with every second that passed and the noise of feet pressing down on the wooden floorboards and the creak that pierced the silence after started to get me agitated.
Taking a few calm breathes as the intruder neared I got ready to pounce.
I sprang into action, jumping out to surprise my attacker I tackled the figure to the ground, both of us falling roughly.
My attacker hissed in pain, spluttering, "What the hell Keira! Get the hell off of me!" He pushed me off of his body standing up startled. Flinching at the use of my name I then realized who my attacker actually was.
"Clay? You were supposed to meet me here ages ago you idiot! I was worried!" I scolded him, my brother wasn't the most reliable of people. Being an immature 14 year old.
He shook out his ash blonde hair, his hazel eyes wide in shock. " I thought you might've payed a bit more attention to who was coming inside" he snapped.
Placing my stake back into my pocket I replied, "You can't take chances Clay, for all I know it could've been one of them" I looked him steadily in the eyes.
After getting no reply I adjusted my bag on my shoulders and quietly sighed, "Alright then, lets get moving before anyone realises we're gone"

Hey everyone reading this, Thankyou :) I've added this authors note in June, just to let you know that none of my chapters are as small as this one. Each one has actually been getting longer as this sorry progresses.
I've spent alot more time on each chapter to make sure everyone of them is interesting and has enough detail.
So please don't let the first two chapters make you stop reading because it doesn't reach your standards! I've tried really hard to make sure my chapters are up to what I hope is a good quality :)
Thanks again and please Vote and comment! ;3
