UNEDITED
The time was now.
The day seemed to go by incredibly slow and my nerves were starting to get the better of me. I tried to sleep but I couldn't stop thinking about tonight. My head hurt from over thinking and lack of sleep.
Looking in the mirror I observed my Reflection. The girl staring back at me looked tired, but determined. Black hair falling down her back to her waist after years of letting it grow.
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, I now wore a black quarter sleeved dress with a bright red belt. I mean, I gotta say it doesn't look that bad. But then again I doubt Master Vincent would want anything different than the best looking servants.
---------------------
When I came into the main room downstairs I swear I was going to start sweating. Master Vincent better not see me or I'm dead.
The room was full of people, or should I say- vampires. Everyone was dressed to perfection, expensive dresses sparkling and suits making all the men look more professional than they already seem.
I kept my head down low to not gather any unwanted attention and quickly walked into the kitchen hearing the door shut gently behind me.
I wiped my forehead suddenly feeling quite hot- not a great look. Looking around the kitchen there wern't actually many girls in here which was quite odd, I would of thought alot were needed for tonight.
I picked up a tray of glasses on the counter, I recoiled at the sight-Blood. Taking a deep breath I tried not to enhale the bitter smell of the substance. Scrunching up my nose a thought came to my mind, a thought I don't want. Where did the blood come from?
Shaking my head I pushed the thought into the depths of my mind, I don't want to know.
A girl came into the kitchen and stood beside me picking up a tray.
I lent towards her.
"What's this party for?" I whispered. She turned her head towards me eyebrows raised.
"You know what its for, and don't speak about it. You know we're sworn to secrecy!" She whispered harshly eyes flicking nervously around the room.
I held on more tightly to the tray and nodded, awkwardly laughing
"Ofcourse, I was just wondering if there's anything else"
She looked at me as though I had grown another leg.
"Anything else?? how can you laugh at this?" She spluttered practically screeching at me.
Not knowing what to do and thinking she may attack me from the look she was giving me I just walked out of the kitchen, confusion plastered on my face.
I began walking towards two glass doors that I went through to get to the garden the other day.
Okay, here it goes. The door to the lounge is right over there, just walk in and don't do anything that could raise suspicion.
I repeated this to myself and took a deep breath once I reached the door. The sound of laughing and chatter could be heard coming from the room.
Through the glass I could see alot of vampires socializing. They look busy so I guess they won't pay any attention to me.
I pushed open the door and walked inside. I was right, none of the vampires paid any interest in me whatsoever. I visibly relaxed and started walking around.
Luke's plan was simple- aslong as it went right. I would dress as a waitress and pretend to be one for the night, Luke easily obtained the uniform and then my part comes in. I need to get close to Evelyn and see if I can catch her discussing anything of importance that can help me find Clay.
