I awoke to the familiar smell of the damp and putrid cell. Again.

My head was pounding and I felt like the world was spinning. I blinked repeatedly trying to rid of it but to no success. If anything I made it worse.

My arm felt like it was on fire, throbbing with pain and causing me to clench my teeth every time I accidently moved it.

I realized I wasn't handcuffed this time which caused a little hope to rush through me before I realized I can hardly move anyway. I sighed deeply, I was lying on my side against the wall much like how I landed after being thrown through the air.

I scrunched up my nose and used my other arm-which didnt experience any of the impact, to move my hair out of my face and found out it had been stuck to my face and felt very sticky.

It must be blood, that can't be good.

I felt so weak and hungry, lying helpless on the grungy floor.

I didn't stop Jordine from getting sold, I failed and now she could be anywhere.

I lay there for what felt like hours before I heard a noise of what sounded like someone choking and falling to the ground. I held my breath wondering if the person coming in the cell was someone I should be afraid of.

I kept my eyes on the door looking at the glow of light from the gap underneath, watching the shadow of a pair of feet stand there.

The door knob began to jiggle around as someone tried to open it. It must have been locked as they then began using force to break the door. Hasn't anyone heard them yet?

After around 2 minutes of incessant banging, which wasnt the best noise in the world, the door finally gave free and the form of a male stumbled into the room.

His face was shielded from the darkness and I frowned in confusion.

"Oh my god that took way too long" a breathless voice spat out.

The voice sounded extremely familiar and I immediately knew who it was.

"L-luke?" I wheezed out, unable to find my voice.

He turned around sharply and rushed to my side, crouching beside my body.

"Oh Keira, what the hell happened?" he asked with concern as he inspected my body.

"J-just got thrown into a w-wall is all" I said, wincing as he touched my arm.

He quickly pulled his arm back

"Sorry"

I groaned and licked my dry lips, tasting the metallic taste of blood. Gross. "I feel like shit" I mumbled.

Luke moved a hand towards me and brushed the hair that was partly blocking my sight away from my face. He sighed deeply

"This is not good, not good at all"

he muttered rubbing his chin with his hand.

"Look, we don't have much time and you need fixing up. So we have to get you out of here, it's not safe"

I slowely nodded my head, though I regret doing It because it began pounding again.

Suddenly I was hoisted into Luke's arms as he held me bridal style. I nearly screamed in pain as my entire left side felt as though it was ripping apart.

I whimpered and dug my face into Luke's chest and his muscles tensed beneath me, he smelled like soap and aftershave which overpowered my senses causing my throat to tingle and a cough to escape my mouth- but I will admit, he smelt great.
