Chapter 1
Lizzie's POV:
I woke up in the morning feeling quite ill. I walked into the bathroom and puked in the toilet. Thats not a normal thing to do! I called my doctor and she listed some things that could be wrong. I listened and took her first suggestion.
As I got to the store and bought the tests, I realized what could happen. Joel could get mad. He could blame me. What if, what if, what if he broke up with me? That couldn't happen. But alas, I bought the tests.
Joel's POV:
Lizzie has just been acting slightly hormonal lately. I hope its not the fun we had last month when we got a bit drunk. We were on the most romantic date that we have ever had. It was our 4th anniversary, and we decided to have some fun. I hope she's alright...
This morning I was reading the news online, Lizzie and I usually do it together, but she was feeling sick and was still in bed. I'm glad she was. On the news it said that there were signs of life in the graveyards. Lizzy and I have played and watched plenty of zombie games, but with her acting like she is, I'm not sure if she can take it.
Lizzie's POV:
So I took the test that morning. I was feeling sick, so I thought it would be the best excuse to not read the online news with him, and just stay in bed. After he went down reluctantly, I slipped out of bed. I sneaked into the bathroom and sighed. This could determine our fate. Our lives together. I took the test, just as Joel barged into the bathroom.
Joel's POV:
I couldn't believe what I had read. So I rushed upstairs and knocked on the door to our bedroom because it was closed, but she didn't answer. I opened the door and saw that she was in the bathroom.
"Lizzie!? Lizzie I have something to tell you!"
"Um, wait a second, yeah, um, I'll be out in a minute, um..."
"Lizzie," I said, " Are you alright? Do you have something to tell me?"
"Um, no! I mean, yeah, sort of..." She opened the door.
There she was, standing, holding a pregnancy test.
"Joel," She whispered, "I don't know what to say, or do or-or-or" She started to cry.
"Lizzie... don't cry, you're ok." I patted her back and said, "You're fine, you're fine, I'll love you forever. Don't you worry baby."
In all of this drama, I didn't tell her what I meant to.
Lizzie's POV:
I sat there, holding that test, sobbing, when he came into the room. I looked like an idiot there standing and sobbing into his shirt while he patted my back. I was glad he didn't get angry but, I still want to know what he wanted to tell me...
