Chapter 4

Joel's POV:

"What is it!?" I screamed

"The babies, *gasp* Joel, get the stuff!"

I ran over to where all of our stuff was and grabbed all the babies things. Lizzie was now laying in the ground and crying.

"Shh, Lizzie, shhh..."

She pushed and pushed for almost 4 hours straight before the first one came. She said, (more like screamed) that the convolutions were unbearable, and then out came the first baby.

"Lizzie! It's a boy!" I cleaned him off and cradled him.

"Joel, this is not the time" She gasped.

She gasped and blood gushed out of her. By this time we were both pale as paper and then the second one came. She gasped and even more blood came. It was a girl. I cleaned her off and readied myself for the next one. That's when Lizzie blacked out.

Lizzie's POV:

It was about the time that the triplets were due. All was going well and then I couldn't take a breath. I fell down in the field of flowers. Joel came rushing to me and I gave birth to two babies.

After I had the second one, I don't really remember the rest. I think I blacked out for a while and then I woke up in a river with Joel, looming over me in tears.

"Oh Lizzie, I thought I lost you!" He sobbed.

"Are all of them ok?"

"Lizzie," He patted my tummy, "There's one more to go."

And so I pushed. The last little girl was very small. We cleaned them in the river and they were all doing well and Joel was taking pictures, and it was great. We measured them. The boy was the biggest, almost a foot long and. 8 pounds. The second one, a girl, was also about a foot long, thought she was a bit smaller then the boy, she was 7 pounds. The last one, another girl, was only 9 inches long, and she was only 5 and a half pounds.

"Oh Lizzie, they are beautiful." Joel kissed me. We dressed the little ones in the clothes. The boy was in blue, the second one was in pink, and the smallest girl was in yellow. We were packing up to move to a spot with less blood, when they started to come.
