Chapter 11: Forgiveness

Luna's POV

I walked down the street, my heels clicking down on the sidewalk. I heard Cassie behind me calling for me but I didn't look back. I didn't want to see anyone right now. I felt a tear stream down my face but quickly wiped it away. I looked up, the sky was turning grey. I looked back down at the sidewalk, simply watching small drops of rain fall onto the ground. I felt a hand on my arm and it pulled me back making me stumble a bit. I looked back at Cassie, she had tears in her eyes. I quickly discarded my own pain and focused on her. A tear trickled down her face and I wiped it away with my finger.

"I will explain, let's go home though." A smile slowly spread on her face and she slowly nodded. As we walked I explained what happened. It was hard to even talk about what happened but I survived. As we walked into the apartment building I heard someone call my name. I looked back at Dan. He was a mess. Tears filled his brown eyes and his cheeks were stained with tear drops. Phil was far behind him panting. He pulled me into a hug but hesitated. he probably thought I was going to pull away but, I didn't. 

"I am so sorry can I please explain Luna?" Without hesitation I said yes to him. I wanted him to explain. I had so many questions. Who was she? Why was she kissing him? Do they know each other? I wanted to know the whole story. Cassie went to talk to Phil and me and Dan went up to his apartment. We sat on the couch, there was an awkward silence until Dan broke it. 

"I am sorry Luna I didn't even wa-" I cut him off with my first question.

"Who was she?"

"My ex girlfriend, here i will tell you the whole story." I nodded and he went on. I had to take a few seconds to 'process' all of this but, I did understand him and his side of it. I felt a tear slide down my cheek. I put my head down not wanting to look weak in front of him. I sometimes felt and still feel like if I cry in front of someone, I would be seen as weak and helpless. Dan put up his hand and cupped my cheek. I looked up and was going to say something but was interrupted with his lips smashing into mine. The kiss was slow but it was also steamy. (Is steamy the correct term? I don't know xD) The kiss continued for a while, I am not sure how long but, it felt like forever. He pulled away and smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back, he was so cute and I knew I could forgive him. After all he didn't do anything, at least from what he said and did in that situation. I heard the door open and a gasp from the person who opened it. We both turned our heads to see Chris and Peej standing at the door. They had a shocked looked on their face. I didn't move or speak. Now what am I going to do?
