Chapter-5
We've walked- and I've dragged Alex- the whole way to his apartment, and when we finally get there, we all collapse on the ground, not even bothering our uncomfortable-ness.
my hair sticks to my skin and so does my cloths and I'm panting from the walk.
I look around at the others and they match my exact description.
"Hey, lets go inside now." I mumble standing up on wobbly feet, and pulling Alex up with me, Rosie and Jake follow suit and we all file into the mini apartment.
I take no notice of the apartment and I seem to lose all of my manners when I see a bedroom, now all I can think about is sleep . . . . on a real bed, with real pillows.
Alex finds his balance and he stands up on his own and sighs and collapses on the couch, I try to suppress a smile at his tiredness but we did walk for three hours without any breaks.
"You guys can sleep on the beds, I'll sleep on the couch." Alex mumbles, and before I can protest, because this is his house and it would be rude to not allow him to sleep on HIS bed, he falls asleep instantly, and I've no choice but to except.
I stand there for a few minutes awkwardly looking around at my surroundings.
two bedrooms, that I didn't notice before, a small kitchen and a laundry room, a bathroom connected to the two bedrooms. even though it's not much it still seems like Heaven to me.
"Come on." I whisper lightly nudging Rosie and Jake into the bedrooms.
Jake and Rosie sleep on the bed next to me while I sleep on the other bed by myself, which I'm very grateful for because I could use the space and alone time . . . . in my own bed for once in a long time. and as my eyelids close slowly . . .
I let sleep overtake me with open arms.
