Chapter-10
when Alex and I get back home, we see Rose and Jake sleeping on the couch.
"Lets not wake them, they probably need their sleep." Alex says, and I smile at him and nod.
I help him put up the groceries, trying not to bring up the incident back at the store. I feel like I'm going crazy or something, I just cant wrap my head around what happened so I decide to bring it up.
"Alex . . ."
"Clair . . ." we both say at the same time, and I look down at my feet smiling.
"You go first." I say, and he smiles.
"What I have to say will take some explaining, so you can go first." he says, and I shrug psyching myself up for what I'm about to say.
"What happened . . . back at the store I mean, that wasn't . . . . normal." I say looking at him closely and he nods to himself, like he was excepting that to come up.
"Yeah . . . that's what I was going to say .. . . Clair . . . I need to tell you something, that cannot be repeated . . . and I want you to know I'm not lying I want you to believe me if you can." he says, and I'm confused and off guard so my body reacts to this with a nod.
"Okay, I will try." I say, and he sighs trying to calm himself down.
"Clair . . . I'm a werewolf." he says, and I furrow my eyebrows together, and I don't know how to believe him.
"Yeah . . . I know its sounds stupid, but that's the only way I was able to save you." he says.
"What about your dad?" I ask.
"Oh yeah . . . believe it or not he's the alpha that's how he was able to hurt me, but if he was a mortal, I would've beat him." he says, looking down at his feet, and I walk over to him, and touch his cheek.
"I believe you, Alex." i say and he looks into my eyes, making my knees weak.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
