"Come on, Erica. I've let you miss two days. You gotta go." My mom sighed. "Ugh."

"Erica, what's up? First, you're absent two days. Now, you're just out of it. What's going on?" My friend Hope asked. I shrugged.

"Erica! Come on!" Lake exclaimed. I gave her a look before getting up, dumping my tray, and walking out of the cafeteria.

I dropped to the floor in the hallway, my head against the lockers.

When the bell rang, I just sighed and continued to sit there.

Over the course of the school year, I grew closer to Luke. As of a few weeks ago, we're in a relationship. Dad knows, but he doesn't care. He just hated Elliot for some reason.

STOP.

Don't think about him. It's over.

My dad had blocked him from my phone before giving it back. Jaimee helped me let him know and helped tell him that I couldn't do it anymore.

So that ended and now I've got Luke.

Yet, I'm still not happy.

Maybe I'll cheer up when I get to see Luke in two days.

Guess we'll see.

"There's my beautiful girlfriend!" I was lifted into the air, a squeal leaving my mouth, "Lucas, put me down!"

He put me down, his lips to my ear, "How 'bout a date tonight?" He hummed, "Actually, you're probably tired and just wanna get settled in. How 'bout tomorrow? Tomorrow good?"

I nodded, "Now, let me go so I can get a look at you."

"But I don't wanna let you go." He pouted. "Lucas, I heard you got your hair cut. I wanna see."

"I hope you know, I'm only allowing you to call me Lucas because it sounds adorable coming from you." That's when I broke out of his grasp, turning to look at his haircut.

I ran a hand through his hair smiling. "Looks good, Babe." He grinned, "Thank you, Gorgeous. Now, come on. My show comes on in, like, thirty minutes." What?"

I just got here, and you're worried about your show? Okay then.

Seriously?

You find that entertaining?

"Uh... Luke?" He only continued to laugh at the really dumb show. I rolled my eyes, walking my room to unpack.

"Hey, Chicka. Need help?" I turned to face Jenna, smiling. "Sure. Since your brother obviously needs to work on his social skills." I mumbled.

"What do you mean?" She asked, setting a pair of my shorts in the dresser. "All he's been worried about since I get here was that retarded show." I sighed. "What is it? Spongebob?" She laughed. "No, it's called Gumball World or s-"

"Amazing World of Gumball!" She exclaimed, "He's watching it without me? Lucas!" She threw my shirt at me, running downstairs. I scoffed, getting up to shut my door.

"Thanks for the support."

"Hey! Erica! Heard you're in town! We should hang out!" Jaimee chirped over the phone. "Considering I'm supposed to be on a date right now but my lovely "boyfriend" is taking a nap, sure. Meet you at the beach in twenty?"
