Luke's POV
"You know he's not a bad guy, Dad. And that's coming from me. The guy that fought him."
"I know he's not a bad guy, Luke. But I was given strict orders-"
"Since when do you take orders from Erica's dad?" I asked. "Since he entrusted his daughter's life in my hands!"
"Will you talk to him? Please? For Elliot." I begged. He sighed, "Fine. But tell me who started the fight."
I hung my head, "I did."
Erica's POV
"Hi, Erica. Something I can help you with?" Mrs. Woods asked. "Can I see Elliot, please?"
"Your dad said you can't." She replied sadly. "You know Elliot's not a bad guy. Why can't I see him?"
"The way Elliot's been acting lately, I'm not so sure what I know."
"If this is about the fight, Luke started it. He was defending himself." I clarified. "It didn't look like defense when Luke was under him. But that's not it. He's got to where he'll roll his eyes at me for just sending him after his brother, and then he'll slam the door on the way out."
"It's because I'm here. I never should have come this summer. But, Mrs. Woods, I love this guy. And I hate that I drove him back into the state he finally came out of.
"I just want to apologize." I finished. She crossed her arms, "You really love him?"
"With all my heart." I nodded. "After my dad said I couldn't even talk to him, I tried to move on. I tried dating Luke, which was really stupid on my part because he's like a brother to me. Point is, I never got over your son. And I hate what I've done to him. I'm sorry. I truly am."
"Go." She stated, going back to her book on the table. "Ma'am?"
"He's in his room, you know where it is. Go." I hugged her neck, making her drop her book in surprise. "Thank you!"
"You two were adorable together, what could I say? I think you were the best thing that ever happened to him. You know? Aside from the attitude and fighting."
"Again, I'm so sorry."
"It's not your fault. Now, go before Mr. King comes after you." She laughed. "Thank you!" I exclaimed, running to Elliot's room.
I knocked on the door rapidly, rocking on my heels. Elliot answered shortly. "Erica?" He answered surprised.
He pulled me in his room, shutting the door. "You can't-"
I hugged his neck, "I'm sorry!" I said, hiding my face in his shoulder.
Elliot's POV
Oli pointed at the door, and I gave him a thumbs up as I slowly wrapped my arms around Erica.
Oli left, closing the door, and I sighed, pulling Erica closer. I miss this. I honestly do. "What are you doing here, Erica? You aren't supposed to be near me." I mumbled.
She pulled back slightly. Please, don't. She only pulled back enough to look me in the eyes. She genuinely looked upset. She has all summer, and it kills me not to do anything about it.
"I'm sorry. For everything. I could have tried to get a hold of you. I shouldn't have gave up on us. I tried to move on, as you know." I felt myself pull her closer.
"I shouldn't have gone out with Luke. He's like my brother. I was trying so hard to move on, but I couldn't. I'm still in love with you, Elliot. And it's my fault we can't be-"
