Flo

"Okay. You didn't mention anything about this. So you're a spy?"

"Yes! On behalf of Her Majesty!" Alby laughed softly.

The two sat on her bed, which had been set up directly in front of a narrow window. Both wore simple pajamas and shiny gold curlers in their hair. (Not that Flo needed this, but he was happy to participate.) The window faced the garden. To the garden, which Flo was not allowed to enter. No employee was allowed to stay in this garden unless they worked there.

Admittedly, Flo only saw a small part of the garden when he peeked out of the window for a moment.

Alby's room was located in such a way that she looked directly at a house wall. On a house wall and a small part of this very garden. The back part of the garden. A pretty ornamental garden, which displayed various flowers and herbs. To be able to see it better, you would have to lean out of the window. It was just wide enough for that.

"Her Majesty? Who would that be?" Flo asked.

"Mina!", Alby lied happily. She had opened the window and was now leaning out so that Flo could only see her back. To be precise, her butt. The girl's short nightgown was not long enough to hide her underwear. A pair of bloomers drowned in delicate lace ruffles. Flo left this uncommented and politely looked away. Nobody would get him into such pants! Never!

Instead, he looked at the small room. The room offered a lot of distractions from the ruffled butt.

Flo really wasn't interested in girls. Alby had a cute bottom; he would be blind if he didn't recognize it, but this butt belonged to a female representative of the human species and was therefore uninteresting. Alby knew that, and that's exactly why she was doing these sorts of gymnastics in front of him without care.

She could jump around naked in front of him; it wouldn't matter to him. Well, maybe he'd chase her with a blanket before the wrong person saw her... He laughed at the thought.

"Flo? What's up?"

"Nothing... I'm just looking at your room?"

"My room is funny?" She didn't turn to him. "How so?"

"Uhm..."

A bookcase, a pretty armchair with a small side table, dark wood, a light yellow floral wallpaper, pale orange carpet on a dark wooden floor... On the high ceiling hung a chandelier decorated with simple glass prisms. In the small room, it seemed exceedingly out of place. A simple mobile hung from the chandelier, zeppelins danced under the prisms, and gold stars had been painted on the ceiling. On the side table lay an old opera glass and a paper cut that had been started. The scissors had fallen to the floor.

Silverpaw lay on the chair and slept. She was lying on her back, her paws twitching in her sleep. She held it up and moved as if she were walking. The animal child was dreaming.

"Your room is nice", Flo finally commented. "Is the chandelier a gift from Mina? For her loyal spy? Do you use the opera glass for espionage?"

Alby was still looking out of the window. "No. The chandelier was already here when I moved in. The opera glass, on the other hand, can be very useful. For gossip, or to pretend I'm rich and watching a play or opera."

"What does your aunt think of your espionage?"

"Ha! This was once her room! Just like the opera glass." Alby laughed. "I once waved to the ruler!"

"And?"

"He waved back! And he wanted to borrow my opera glass, since his broke. He went to watch an opera performance in one of the capitals. I would love to... OH!"
