I had introduced the plot like in chapter 4 or something, and then there were a few filler chapters in between. But here, the plot comes back :D

Chapter 8

I clambered down the stairs, not bothering to keep quiet. I did quite the opposite, actually. I stomped down the stairs, moving like I was going insane. Believe me, when it comes to Aaron, I'm not far from it.

"Riley! Stop being so loud!" my dad's voice demanded. It was muffled, since it was coming from the closed door at the bottom of the staircase, so I just ignored it. I was going to pretend I didn't hear that. When I'm upset, I'm as loud as I want. I know, it makes me sound like some pouty two year-old.

I hopped off the bottom step and unlocked the front door. I jogged outside, still clad in my pajamas. I looked around briefly before running over to the side of my house, where my room is.

And apparently, where Aaron still is.

When I saw him, I lifted my hand, getting ready to pounce on him. I was ready to give him another black eye; it's not like he couldn't get any more popular anyways.

Aaron turned around, and his blue eyes flashed with fear when he saw me. But then, as I got closer, I noticed that the flashing in his eyes dimmed down to an amused sparkle. What now?

I slowed down, wondering why Aaron was so amused now. I glared at him, narrowing my eyes dangerously. I lowered my hand, but not enough that it was completely down. Aaron started looking me up and down. I flushed.

"What," I demanded, crossing my arms over my chest. Okay, so maybe I should've changed before running out here. Aaron raised his eyebrow when his eyes came back to meet mine. I lifted my hand slightly.

"Baby jaguar," he commented on my pajamas, smirking slightly. "Nice. He's a cat, just like you."

I charged at him. I tried to knock him over, but he didn't budge. I started pounding on his chest, which was hard. Hmph, not surprising. Superficial guys like him have their macho image to keep up.

"Don't." I punched him.

"Call." Another punch.

"Me." Ooh, two punches at a time.

"A cat." If only I had a third fist.

"Again!" I shouted, finally slamming both my fists onto his chest. I left them there, and I was already breathing hard from just a few punches. That's what being holed up in my room all day gets me. Maybe I have a strong arm, from all the writing, but I have the stamina of a vegetable.

Out of nowhere, I felt Aaron's chest start shaking. At first, I was scared, and I quickly pulled my hands away. I wondered if he had some sort of heart condition that I had triggered from all the punches. But then I looked up at his face and realized he was laughing.

“Feisty,” Aaron smirked. Oh my gosh.

Can I kill this guy?

I let out an enraged scream, and then I lifted my fists to pound on his chest again. My eyes were squeezed shut with anger. Well, I guess I won’t know what I hit until I see the results.

I brought down my fists as fast as I could, wanting it to hurt Aaron as much as humanly possible. But that would probably be a little difficult, considering the lack of exercise I do, and my incredibly scrawny arms.

Aaron caught both of my wrists before my hands made contact. I gasped in surprise, and stumbled backwards in surprise. I felt a tingle of shocks where his hands were holding my wrists. I tried desperately to yank my hands away, not wanting to feel the uncomfortable shudder anymore. I looked up at Aaron, my eyes wide and somewhat pleading. He only smirked at me.
