Sooo, I finally decided to get off my lazy butt—actually, on my lazy butt—to upload a chapter. ^.^

Here’s the next chapter, and I hope you like it! :D

By the way, I consider this a milestone. First chapter with double-digits, baybeh!

Chapter 10

“…and that’s my view on relationships,” Aaron finished. His dark blue eyes had a uninterested glint, and he stared at me apathetically. I returned his look with an annoyed one. We held each other’s stares for a while, eventually holding a staring contest. But after a few whole minutes of nothing but Aaron’s eyes boring into mine, I decided it was enough. I rolled my eyes and averted my gaze.

“I should’ve known,” I muttered sourly. Really, what could a hopeless romantic like me expect from a player like Aaron? Did I actually expect him to say that love was something beautiful? Pfft, no.

It was no surprise at all that Aaron doesn’t “believe in love”, and that it’s a “waste of time”. Ugh. I scowled at my hands in my lap.

Sheesh, Mr. Wright. Use better judgment when you pick your columnists.

“Known what?” Aaron asked, suddenly amused. My grimace deepened and I looked up, just to glare at him. His dark blue eyes still had a glint in them, but this time, it wasn’t the bored kind. Aaron just looked downright amused, smirking at me. I resisted the urge to smack it off his face.

“Your view on relationships is completely and utterly flawed,” I deadpanned. “Seriously, you’re such a player.” I made sure to shoot him a nasty glare for effect. But I swear, if he says—

“And you,” Aaron smirked, “still look like a cat.”

Of course, he had to say it. I grimaced and gritted my teeth together. Aaron burst into laughter. That only made me angrier, and my fists clenched in my lap.

“I told you not to say that again,” I said through clenched teeth. “Remember what happened last time?”

Aaron stopped laughing for a moment, pausing to crack a lopsided grin. My eyes widened slightly, and I sighed mentally. If only he’d smile like that more often, rather than that cocky smirk. He raised his eyebrows at me slightly. I raised one of mine in response, giving him a flat look. He just chuckled.

“Let’s just get started. This is due Monday,” Aaron said, opening up his laptop. I sighed, partly in exasperation, partly in relief, happy that he decided to drop it. I didn’t need to be bickering with him. We had work to do.

“I can’t believe I agreed to this,” I grumbled. Aaron just chuckled. I scowled.

“Too late now, babe. You can’t back out,” Aaron said, shooting a smirk at me. I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t call me that,” I snapped.

“Babe?”

“It’s demeaning.”

“Kay then, babe.”

I grimaced. Aaron smirked. I sighed, deciding to just drop it.

“Here,” Aaron said, pushing his laptop across the table, towards me. I raised my eyebrow at it as he relaxed into his chair, clasping his hands behind his head. I looked up at him, my eyebrow still cocked.

“What?” I said bluntly. Aaron arched an eyebrow back at me, mimicking my expression.

“Write,” Aaron said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Both of my eyebrows shot up know, and I looked at him in bewilderment.
