You Belong With Me (A Tony Stark fan-fic)

Chapter 6

Maya sat in an abandoned house she found. It was creepy, dark and nothing worked but that's how she knew no one would find her. Like every other night Maya snuck into the nearby grocery store crawling under the door after shape-shifting into a spider. She transforms back and grab food and water and run out the back door. It's the only way I can get food she thought. Maya sighed and looks out the opening where a window was supposed to be. The tower really was beautiful at night. She admired it's brilliant shade of turquoise before falling asleep.

Tony's P.O.V

(A/N: there might be more POVs in the future )

I looked around wandering the streets looking for Maya. For all I know she could be a bird in South America by now.

"Maya!" I yelled out into the night. No response as usual.

Then my phone rang.

"Hello?" I asked, looking at my watch. Who would be calling me at 2:45 in the morning?

"Tony.. Where are you?" The voice spoke gently to me. Pepper. Shit. I forgot that she was staying the night.

"Taking a walk.." I said trying to make my excuse sound valid.

"At almost 3 in the morning?" Her voice became a bit more concerned. "Tony. What's going on??"

Crap. I'm screwed.

"Pepper, it's nothing I just needed some air from the party. I'll be home soon.." I stated avoiding her question.

"Anthony Edward so help me if~" And then I hung up. I couldn't deal with that tonight. I need to find Maya.

As if on cue I look up to a blink of a phone screen in an abandoned building. I'd found her. I hope..

Maya's POV

I turned my phone on to play my music quietly to myself and hoped that no one had seen. My phone quietly played "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy, followed by "Jet Pack Blues" by Fall Out Boy. As "Jet Pack Blues" got deeper into the song it started to downpour outside, as sung in the song. So I went and stood outside where I could still hear the music, but could stand in the rain as well. Just then the door to the little abandoned house swung open and there stood Tony, pain in his eyes.

"Maya.." My name slipped from his mouth, his voice barely a whisper. I could feel the tears well up in my eyes as I ran to him. He just held me in his arms, the both of us dripping wet from the rain. "Jet Pack Blues" ended and then "Hum Hallelujah" came on. Tony just held me. It felt like forever that I was in his arms, but it was okay because I felt safe.

"Tony.. I'm so sorry.." I whispered. I could feel his hold on me get a bit tighter as I said it. The edges of my mouth curved up a bit at the thought of him never letting go. My smile was short lived, because he let go of me after the song ended. I looked up at him and he gave me this look. I couldn't pin point his emotions, but just that look made me want to run and hide again.

"Why did you run Maya? I've been searching for you for days.. You had me worried sick." Tony stated almost yelling. I flinched at the volume of his voice but regained my composure enough to pull off some lie about why I ran away. I certainly could not tell him that I didn't feel welcome in Stark Tower or with the Avengers so instead I told him I needed some time to clear my mind. He bought my lie, but told me I should come back to the tower because we would start our Avengers training in a few days. I sighed but packed my stuff up, grabbed my phone turning the music off as I did so and followed Tony to the tower.

I guess the madness has just begun..

Oh my has it been a long time.. I am truly so very sorry that I don't take more time to write this story but my life has gone from being able to be on wattpad almost everyday to only being able to use my laptop for homework. Crazy. Literally school is killing me rn, I have wayyyyy to much homework and have barely gotten to spend time with my family.. Yet it is almost Christmas and maybe I'll have more time to write over Christmas break? I'm not sure but we'll see!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter I tried to make it not too horrible lol
