You Belong With Me (A Tony Stark fan-fic)

Chapter 5

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!" Everyone shouted. Maya watched from above, standing on the ledge where the stairs are. She watched as everyone was laughing and having a good time. Maya didn't dare go down there and celebrate. What is there for me to celebrate about? She'd ask herself. No one down there seemed to care that there was food, soda cans, beer cans, confetti, anything you could imagine at a party.. everywhere. Literally everywhere.

Maya took a sip of her soda as she fought the urge to run. She didn't need to be here, what good was she to The Avengers when she was just Maya.. She continued to watch for a while longer until she got sick of watching the party, and went to the room that she had been given in the tower.

Tony, being the man he is, was drunk by midnight. He had waited all night (considering the party started at 5 in the afternoon) to see Maya. Truth be told, he started to gain feelings for Maya, but wouldn't show them when around Pepper. But Maya was no where to be found, he couldn't understand where that girl could be and why she wasn't partying with them all.

Tony waited about another hour and half, hoping she'd show.. but she didn't.

He excused himself from the party and went upstairs to her room. Tony honestly wanted to know if she was ok. He knocked on the door to no answer. He knocked once more, no answer.Tony took the initiative to then pick the lock. He walked in to find the clothes she had been given gone, as well as the window wide open.

"Damnit Maya!" He shouted as he went out the window and climbed down and ran looking for her.
