Chapter 11
Chance groaned as an alarm began ringing through the room. Sam sat on the edge of the bed fully dressed waiting with a grin. His arm flung out trying to stop the noise but failed miserably. Ah the uninitiated with the joy of getting up early, Sam thought gleefully as she turned on the light.
He blinked in the sudden brightness not having a clue what was going on. He flashed back through his memories but nothing. The blaring alarm stopped abruptly and he looked toward it bleary eyes only to find Sam grinning at him.
"What's going on Sammy?" He asked sleepily.
"You accepted my dare and here we are at day one." She reminded him.
"What are you talking about?" He asked confused as he rumpled his thick hair appealingly.
Sam was still not used to how breathtaking he looked especially when he first woke up in the morning. The fact that all he had on were boxers made him a sight to behold. His well-defined chest and great abs just cried out for her to touch him but she didn't.
Ever since she freaked out the other morning he was so very careful with her, like she was a delicate piece of china. She always woke with him practically sprawled on top of her but as soon as he woke up he put a space between them and it was starting to frustrate her.
"The other morning you agreed to do my chores for a week remember?" She asked him cheekily "And if you don't get a move on there will be no time for breakfast before school." He glanced at the clock but sat up reluctantly.
"It's five am Sam, you're kidding me right?" He asked in exasperation.
"Welcome to the world of farming." She said sarcastically grinning at him "Now up before I toss your gorgeous behind off my bed."
"You think my butts gorgeous." He said slyly and Sam felt herself blush but tried not to let him distract her, not that it worked.
"Move it we have to get started." She ordered him but he just ignored her and reached over to grab her hand with a cheeky smirk on his face.
"In a minute." He murmured as he pulled her over to him until she fell onto the bed next to him.
With almost lightning speed his arms came around her and he began kissing her passionately, to the point where she could hardly breathe. His hands cupped her face and he deepened the kiss, his tongue delving into the velvety depths of her mouth.
Then he was pulling away and getting off the bed leaving a stunned Sam sitting there trying to catch her breathe. He tugged on his clothes then reached back a hand to help her up. His deep laugh snapped her thoughts back and she decided it was payback time.
She yanked on his hand so he lost his balance and fell back on the bed, practically on top of her. She quickly flipped over so he was trapped beneath her. Not that he seemed that worried. She straddled his hips trying to avoid the bulge she could feel that made her skin heat and warmth pool in her depths.
"I thought we had to go?" He asked her his grin broadening.
"We do." She told him "But it's not nice to leave a girl wanting."
"What do you want Sammy?" His voice was deep and husky sending shivers down her spine.
That was the moment her bravery abandoned her. She had no clue what to say to that. With a fiercely beating heart she scrambled away from him and rushed for the door. She just had it opened when his long arm reached out to close it. He trapped her there and they stared at each other.
"Tell me." He demanded.
"I want you." She blurted out.
He crushed her to him and Sam delighted in it. She reached up and linked her arms around his neck to bring his head down to hers. Their kiss was deep and delicious, Sam stretched onto tiptoe to reach him until he lifted her up.
