The princess, who was expecting to turn around and see a dashing knight in shining armor, instead spun to find a small boy-a kitchen worker. At first she was slightly disgusted. He was a peasant; how dare he have the nerve to approach, let alone touch, her. But as he spoke, something in his voice lightened her mood. Something in his eyes relaxed her. She started to think that she and him could be very good friends. He had a cute smile, and his face was covered in smudges of flour and yogurt and chocolate. She smiled looking at him. Something about him made her smile quite involuntarily.
