The princess woke up and took off her elegant yellow and scarlet dress. She put on her riding pants and a casual blouse and pulled up her hair. She went to the kitchens and found the kitchen boy. She asked him to come riding for the morning. He graciously accepted. The boy and girl rode and rode. She slowly started molding to the way he laughed and smiled. She began to giggle at the faces he made, especially his confused expression. By noon, she was more awake than she'd ever been in her life. Something about the kitchen boy sparked a light in her eyes that she couldn't put out. Finally, they rode into the stables, took off their helmets, and put away the saddles. Quickly, as if it physically pained him, the kitchen boy rushed out the words, "princess, can I be your prince?" Immediately, she blurted out, "yes," and hugged him before running off.
