My friend said this was better than my first draft. I will trust her judgment 🤣👍🏽✨

They curled up beside me with a wild grin on their face.
"Do you know how much I love you?"
I sighed. "Who do you want dead this time?"

[In which Apollo and Sybilla switch bodies for a day]
In a realm where Olympians reigned supreme, magic was something even they hesitated to meddle with. Even Hecate, the greatest sorceress the gods had ever seen, was meticulous when it came to her craft. There was a known fear that lingered in the air whenever anyone mentioned witchcraft. Similarly, an immortal with nothing to do brought down an equally terrifying amount of fun with them.

Sybilla woke up that morning feeling odd. She felt heavier. Her usually cold, dry room was replaced by a prickly-soft bed and a slightly damp atmosphere. The sun shone abnormally bright, and the air smelled like flowers and fresh fruit. Her eyes flickered open, annoyed. For a moment, she thought she was still dreaming, but as she touched her face, realization dawned upon her. Short brown curls, chiselled abdominals, biceps of steel and calves cut from stone; this was a body she knew all too well.
Hecate, I hope you curse whoever is behind this, she scowled. She gathered her wits and remembered what he had taught her about moving between worlds. It was inherently a simple task, but with her preoccupied mind, she had trouble concentrating.
Taking a few deep breaths, she focused on her home, on his soul that was most likely trapped in her body. The world shifted around her, a slightly nauseating feeling that had her stumble at the other end of the rift. Mere moments, when she appeared, a set of arms threw themselves around her waist. She instinctively held him against her.
"As much as I appreciate the greeting, you're holding me quite tight, Apollo."
He loosened his grip, but didn't let go. Sybilla didn't understand why he was like this, and curiously looked behind him. She sighed; her room was trashed with water everywhere.
"You lost control."
"I'm sorry." The reply was meek, like he had done something wrong. Truly, Sybilla was less than pleased that her room was a mess, but how could she blame him? She had been in a similar predicament for months when she first awakened her gift.
Her parents had floor drains installed as a precaution from then on.
"It's alright. I'm not mad," she reassured him. "You can stop trembling like a leaf."
"That's not helping me feel better." Sybilla hummed in reply, soothingly patting her head, and he, reluctantly, let go. Her eyes were red and puffy, an expression she wasn't used to seeing on her face.
"No more tears," she hushed him. "If Tyron sees you like this, I'll never hear the end of it."
She picked him up, suddenly conscious of her tremendous body strength, and carried him to the bathroom. She carefully peeled the clothes from her body, unsurprised by his comfort with her eyes fanning over her entire form. Her hand brushed her hip, examining the scales that shimmered along her legs.
