- Henley POV -

I was back at the clubhouse, sitting at the bar, waiting for Jax to get out of church.

He got out and walked over to me.

"Are you going to go see Abel, Jackson ?", I asked him.

"Meet me at the hospital, later tonight ?", he asked.

I just side-eyed him.

"Don't stand me or your son up, Jackson", I said.

"I promise", he said, before giving me a kiss and heading out the door.

I went to the hospital around the time Jax said to meet.

He wasn't there, yet.

So, I sat in the waiting area, with Gemma.

We actually got the good news that the baby would make it.

So, I was excited for Jax to come.

I saw him and Gemma told him the good news.

He wrapped me in a hug.

I was about to kiss him when I saw the blood on his shirt and neck.

I pulled his collar down to see if it was bad.

He gave me an apologetic look.

I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the bathroom.

"You can't see your son like that, Jackson", I said.

He didn't say anything back, he just let me clean him up.

Afterwards, I was going to leave him. Let him see his son by himself.

But, he grabbed my hand.

"I need you, Hen", he said for what felt like the millionth time.

"Alright, Jackson", I said, walking in with him.

I was surprised by how small he was. As someone who lost a child, and who has had a very sick life because of a mom who was a junkie. I felt bad.

"Even this small, he's your spitting image, Jackson", I said, looking at the little blonde hair, blue eyed baby.

Jax was holding onto my hand with a tight grip. I know he's probably scared shitless right now. Having a kid, or any real responsibility has always terrified him.

"That's my kid", he said, like a proud father.

I smiled.

"Yeah, Jackson. That's your boy", I added, squeezing his hand.
