- Henley POV -

The next morning, Jax, Abel, and I went to see Opie. When we got there, Mary opened the door.

She gave Jax and I, both long hugs, before letting us know that Opie was outside with the kids.

I took Abel out of his carrier and walked with him to sit with the kids by the swing set, while Jax talked with Opie.

Kenny stopped swinging and sat on the ground with me, leaning his head on my shoulder. I could tell he didn't know exactly what was going on, just that it wasn't good.

Ellie did the same, a few sad tears falling down her face. The looks on their face were enough to break me down... But I promised myself... I'd be strong for Opie and them. I wouldnt let them see me cry.

Just then, I heard Opie yell, "A banger shot my wife !" The kids heard it, too. I shot them both a glare. The kids didn't need to hear that.

Jax gave Opie another hug, and he walked over to where the kids I were. Jax already knew that I was not leaving. So he gave Abel a kiss on the top of the head and left.

I stayed with my brother, niece, and nephew. We didn't really talk. We just comforted one another.

- Jax POV -

Church was pretty quiet.

"We need to retaliate", Piney said, his voice full of anger.

No one agreed or disagreed.

"We need to focus on being there for our brother, your son, right now. Retaliation can wait", Clay said, adding a bunch of tension to the already tension-filled room.

Piney was pissed. He stormed off. I told Sack to keep an eye on him. I was really worried about what he'd do. He loved Donna, just like he loved Henley, like she was his own.

I went to the hospital to see Tara. I did love her at one point and I really didn't want to leave it how it was left last night.

"I'm sorry about Donna... And the way I acted last night", she said, once we got into private.

She began to cry.

"I can't keep this lie up. We killed someone. You and I won't ever be together. I'm becoming something that I don't even recognize. I called the hospital I worked for in Chicago... They're going to take me back. I'm leaving Charming."

I thought that if she left, I'd be sad, or pissed, or feel something... But I didn't. She is a completely different person. I feel guilty because I turned her into that person.

"I think you should. You never belonged here. I think you came back because we needed to try this again. I never fully gave you a chance, and I'm sorry for that. I do love you Tara. I wish you the best", I said, planting a kiss on her lips.

The last time I would ever do that. Probably the last time I'd ever see her. It was over between her and I. No more back and forth between her and Henley.

I left the hospital feeling a million times lighter.

"The eyewitness is going to testify against Opie as well. I'm sorry. It's inevitable. Opie will be going back to jail", Rosen said.

"This witness has to die", Happy spoke up, "Like a lot."

We all agreed. It needed to happen. Opie couldn't go away. It'd kill Henley and his kids, losing not just Donna, but him, too.
