"Alright, does anyone need to make any last trips to the restroom, before we hit road?"

Me and Sammy both looked at each other, did they seriously just ask us,as if we're children if we needed a potty break?

"Uh Sebastian.I'm pretty sure we'll be okay for the ride back." I weirdly battered.

"Well, it's just the ride home's going to take a bit longer to get back, since it's near dark and the roads are gonna be a lot hectic. With the holidays ended and people soaring in."

"You mean we'll be in the middle of an airplane load off from people coming back to Las Vegas?"

Sebastian nodded. "Mhm. We're nearer to the airport here,so we're trying to get going, before that happens but we can't do that if you two are going to need to stop in about an hour."

Sammy looked at me "well I did have extra desserts, maybe I should go?"

I nodded "Yeah, hold on, let me just grab my purse, and I'll be right behin- " I got up to grab my purse only to grab nothing. My eyes widened.

Hearing my voiced tone off

everyone's heads turned to me.

"Emerson? What is it?"

Sammy looked at me confused

"M-My purse is gone!" I cried. Now frantically looking over things, and under to see if I miss placed it.

"WHAT!?" Sammy and Eli's eyes widened, Sebastian's eyes momentarily, before instantly helping me look for my purse knelt beside me. Before then everyone was looking around too.

"Okay it's not fucking here

where the hell is my shit!?" I demanded as if anyone would know.

"Okay, okay, calm down." Sebastian said. "We'll find it."

Eli and Samantha rise up stopping, once they hear me exclaim my purse was not around.

"Stay calm, do you remember where you last set down your purse?"

"Um- right next to me when I was sitting next to Samantha."

Sammy nodded "Yeah, I saw her too, it sat right by her feet in between our chairs."

Sam said, as Eli addressed my missing purse to a few other staff members, and went on to ask the front desk, where missing things would have been located if someone found it.

"But Sebastian, I know I had it right there!" I said with a little bit of too much base in my tone.

"Emerson, we will get to the bottom of this, and won't leave until then, but we won't get anywhere unless we have a level head and think."

I winced then nodded. "You're right, I'm sorry.. "

Sebastian sighs. "It's fine. Maybe someone found it, and mistakenly took it as someone missing their things. You did leave for the bathroom right after brunch..."

I rolled my eyes. "Or maybe they stole it..." I said arms crossed. The thought of something of mine being taken even further pushed me to imagine things I'd do once I caught them.

"That could be a possibility, if so I'll deal with them."

I looked at him when he said this blinking. "If you think I'm letting someone get away with stealing from my wife. You're wrong."

My face blushed as he winked.

"Oh? I think I saw a purse with that description, with some small girl that tried to leave with it past the front desk. They tried to run off with it just moments ago."

We all looked at each other at the revelation. Sebastian and I staring longer at each other. "I'm sorry, a little girl?" I asked. Sliding up back my stolen purse on my shoulder.

The man nodded "Yes. Unfortunately ,the girl that took your purse, had falsely claimed that she had come with parents that had booked a table here. But later she'd been found trying to leave without said parents in sight, and an appearing bag that wasn't seen when she'd walked in."

The man explained leaving us in surprise. I looked at Samantha and she was just as equally confused, and irritated about the situation we'd been into. Her and everyone else.

"Well who exactly is that girl?"

The man pointed toward some post paper on the wall.

We all looked and it was a poster with the girl's face on it, an orphan thirteen years old. With a number to call CPS.

That afternoon we had all gone home, Sebastian drove, my fingers intertwined with his, as his other was on the wheel.

I kept thinking about it, the flashes of that girl's story being told to us by that officer. I couldn't imagine how that girl must have felt brought through different homes, not being cared for like anybody should.

I laid down beside my husband ,comfortably physically.. But I couldn't sleep. I kept turning. He noticed my discomfort, his arm still wrapped around my waist.

"What's wrong Love?"

His husked question broke the silence.

"Can't sleep." I turned to him, my back no longer against his chest.

"Sebastian I- I think I want to give that girl from the restaurant, a home... A real home"

I wait, a silence washes over between us. He looked at me. I was expecting him to reject, to tell me off, to get upset that I was asking for something that we'd agreed we'd wait on. But it never came.

“Is that what's been bothering you? Oh baby.,” he gently cupped my face wiping away the tears I didn't even realize I'd been crying. “Shh~” he cooed

“ I know- know you said you didn't want to have a baby-  I'm sorry but then I- I can’t help but want to be there for!-” he cut me off , shaking his head, a finger  to my lips.

“Don't apologize darling  shh, it's okay. I get it. ” He held me close as I cried softly.  He continuously rubbed my back, kissing my forehead tenderly.

“Yeah, we’ll look into it. If it's really what you want.”  My eyes widened.  “R-really..”

He chucked merely as if I was asking something silly.

“ Remember, I promised you the world, and I intend to keep that promise.”

My eyes dwelled in new tears with his words.  “You sure.”

“I'm sure My Love.”

He began to kiss my lip and I entangled  my fingers in his hair.
