Chapter 27

Laura's POV
I was helping Lilly get ready for her date tonight and as I was doing her hair my phone went off. I snuck a look to see that Nessa and Ross texted me. I quickly finish her hair then grab my phone and sit on her bed. I look at the one from Nessa first:
Nessa🌸: when are you going to be home I need to know what we're doing for dinner
Laur😃: I'll be home in like an hour I'm helping Lilly get ready for her date
Nessa🌸: alright I'll see you soon
I closed out of her messages and went into Ross' messages:
Rossy😍💛: hey Laurie when Rocky gets there make sure he doesn't say anything stupid he just spent the last 2 hours asking me how to act on a date and what to ask her about in the date
Laurie😘💖: okay thanks for telling me and believe me Lilly is more nervous than ever
Rossy😍💛: okay so he's not the only one
Laurie😘💖: yeah... Hey can you follow Rocky here and pick me up then take me home
Rossy😍💛: I would be happy too
Laurie😘💖: alright see you soon
Rossy😍💛: yep bye 😘
Laurie😘💖: bye
I close my phone and put in down next to me

Lilly: so how exactly are you going to get home

Laura: Ross is going to come and pick me up

Lilly: oh okay

Laura: so are you ready?

Lilly: yeah just a little nervous

Laura: you'll be fine

Ding dong

Laura: oooo they're here

I pull her down the stairs and open the door to reveal Rocky and Ross standing right behind him

Laura: hello boys... I'll talk to you later Lilly... Rocky

I walk over to Ross, grab his hand and we walk to his car.... We get in the car and wait for the Rocky and Lilly to get in Rocky's car

Ross: so how's Lilly doing

Laura: she's nervous but ready

Ross: same with Rocky but probably more nervous than Lilly cause he told me that he actually likes her too

Laura: wow look at that we just set up two people that actually like each other

Ross: your right we are pretty amazing

Laura: yeah we are... oh look their getting into the car

Ross: alright let's go before they leave

Ross pulls out of the driveway and heads down the road..

Ross: can you do dinner tonight

Laura: no I'm sorry Nessa asked me when I was going to get home so she can make dinner for us

Ross: okay maybe another time

Laura: I think it's amazing how we've been dating for only a day and we are still super close like we're still best friends

Ross: well that's because we're so inseparable

Laura: that's true

Ross: alright we're here

I quickly get out of the car and then walk over to Ross' side.

Laura: I'll see you tomorrow??

Ross: yeah I'll pick you up tomorrow... just text me when your ready

Laura: alrighty see you tomorrow

I peck his lips and walk over to my door. I look back and wave at him then he waves back. He drives out of the driveway as I walk into the house

Laura: Nessa I'm home!!!

Vanessa: in the kitchen

I walk into the kitchen to see Nessa sliding a paper near you... I pick it up to see that is a letter:
Dear Vanessa and Laura Marano,
We are very sorry to hear about what you mother had done to you two and we all know that she now doesn't work here anymore. We would like to invite you two to an audition for our next revival of Funny Girl

Laura: oh my god we're going to audition for funny girl

Vanessa: only if you want to

Laura: duh being up on that stage is amazing even if I play a very small park... I'm so fine with it

Vanessa: well I'm going to try out for Fanny

Laura: your going to kill that part

Vanessa and I think you should try out for Emma cause I know you don't like super big parts. She's only in a few scenes that I've seen but I think that would be awesome

Laura: Ness just getting asked to play a part is fantastic

Vanessa: that's true

Laura: I can't believe their reviving it after how many years

Vanessa: I know... so what do we want for dinner

Laura: I really don't know

Vanessa: okay
