I will post part of the chapter and will update with remainder later.

The week had been fairly busy for Brielle with photo editing and interviews. Two of the models were ill causing the Friday photo shoot to be rescheduled. She was debating on wearing the green dress that was sent for her, but didn't want to speak directly about the gifts with Jackson.

The dress was stunningly beautiful and fit perfectly. The dress was one shoulder mermaid emerald green dress. The dress fit Brielle like a glove and couldn't help but be appreciative of her slightly curvy shape. She was aware how this may appear to Jackson, but it wasn't very often that she wore such an elegant dress and was treated to a nice dinner.

Jackson arrived on time and was in awe of Brielle's look. He is taken aback by the appearant changes since the break up. Jackson is realizing the substantial errors of his way for letting someone so great slip out of his reach. He hopes that he can win her affection and break down the wall that he caused her to build.

Jackson needed to break the ice by starting with a positive tone. "Thank you Brielle for agreeing to dinner. I must say you look stunning." Brielle smiled as she spoke. "Thank you Jackson, you look well yourself. Thank you for the dinner invite."

The dinner was enjoyable for both consisting of light and care free conversation. At one point while Jackson excused himself, there was a box delivered to Brielle. She thought that Jackson didn't want to chance seeing rejection in her eyes, so she placed the box in her purse. She will be sure to look at the box once she gets home.

Once dinner was over, Brielle felt as if weight had been lifted off her shoulder. She may not have completely forgotten about Jackson's cheating, but she was less concerned about the past of their failed relationship. She felt as if they both had made enough life changes that they had a chance to build a new friendship.

The car ride to Brielle's was mostly quiet. Once exiting the car and walking towards her entry door, Brielle was stopped when Jackson lightly grabbed her hand and she spun around on her heels. "Brielle, thank you again for tonight. I want to say how sorry I am for all the pain I have caused. You are such a special person and I took advantage of that." Brielle could feel Jackson's breath as he had suddenly closed the distance between them while he spoke. "I appreciate what you did tonight and the apology. I am...." suddenly Brielle was cut off by the connection of Jackson's lips to hers. She started to slowly slip into ecstacy of how things use to be, but suddenly awoke from memory lane and pushed Jackson away. "I am sorry Jackson, but I just can't do this. I want to start fresh and learn to become friends." Jackson apologized for his sudden lapse of judgement and said his goodbyes as he climbed into his car and drove away.

Brielle locked the door behind her as she placed her clutch on the table and made her way to her bedroom to change out of her dress. As she made her way into the kitchen after changing into her sweats, Brielle decided to dig into her favorite vanilla bean ice cream and catch up with her favorite shows that have been on recorded on DVR.

"Come on Brielle, you need to wake up" was all Jocelyn needed to say multiple times to wake her friend up. "Girl, it is a Saturday and it is almost noon." Brielle slowly pulled herself out of zombie mode and made her way to the kitchen. She followed the delicious smell of food.

To be continued...............

Once Jocelyn and Brielle made their way into the kitchen and ate their breakfast, Jocelyn decided to speak up. "Hey girl, you left your purse open sitting on the counter. When I was cooking, I happen to catch a glimpse of a little box. Did you receive another gift from Jackson?" Brielle eyes widened slightly at her sudden lack of memory. "That box was delivered when Jackson stepped away. I have a feeling that he is afraid to see my reaction to him bearing gifts. I know I should speak to him about it but I am trying to keep things positive between us. Of course, he just made things more awkward by kissing me last night." Jocelyn gasped at the unexpected news her friend had shared with her, "Please tell me that you are not back with Jackson?" Brielle reassured Jocelyn that things were over between her and Jackson, and that they will not be anything more than friends. After breakfast and catching up on the current chain of events, Jocelyn and Brielle decided to get a start on the day.

Saturday was more than half way over and uneventful. Brielle didn't want to take any chances of running into Jackson alone, but everyone else had plans. Jocelyn had a date, Tanner was out of town for a story and her parents were in Hawaii on vacation. Brielle just about gave up hope and realized that she promised to hang out with Marc sometime. "Maybe I will call Marc, and see if he is available" Brielle thought inwardly.

Brielle dug through her purse to see if she had the card, that Marc gave her when she bought her camera at the Electro Pro on Black Friday. Fortunately she kept it just in case she had any questions about her new camera.

Walking over to the table, Brielle picked her phone up and dialed Marc's number. She was just about to hang up after the third ring, when Marc's voice suddenly caught her attention as he said Hello. "Hi Marc, it's Brielle. Not sure if you remember me or not. But I thought I would take you up on your offer if it still stands?" Marc didn't respond at first, but once he cleared his throat he started to speak. "Well hello there, I am happy you called. I don't have much going on myself, and yes the offer does still stand." The conversation continued on to be light and comfortable. After agreeing on going to movie theater and to the new night club afterwards, Brielle decided to start getting ready. "Decisions, decisions, what should I wear," Brielle said to herself as she grinned.
