Chapter 6

LEX CORP- 1600 HOURS

A Bat-a-rang flew through the window, smoke escaping it to knock out Lex Luthor's henchmen. The goons were building something down in the basement of LexCorp, a bomb most likely. Bruce was not pleased by Lex Luthor's actions of pardoning most of Gotham City's Criminals. To those criminals Luthor could not pardon, he sent them to a lower grade asylum. A place where they could easily escape.

Another think Bruce notice was a difference in Clark. Something about Superman's whole composer seemed off, however, Bruce could not place it. A hunch of his, said that Luthor's super powered criminal friends were the cause of it. Batman shook his head, sneaking past the knocked out guards. Diana insisted early before they left that she saw a weird cube in the basement. Bruce figured it could be weaponized and dangerous. Sure enough, he saw it in the distance. "Wonder Woman-you were right, it's here." The blue crystallized cube glittered in front of him. His bat sensor was picking up energy waves from it. Wonder Woman had not even responded yet, when Batman heard a loud thump come from behind him.

"I would not make another move if I were you." A smug voice cracked from behind him, of course it belong to no one other than Tony Stark himself. The man made a mockery of superheroes and justice. No wonder he worked with a man like Lex in the weapon industry. Both greedy businessmen who loved the power of war. Batman shook his head, "Stark."

"It's Iron Man to be exact." The metal mask slide down, covering Tony Stark's face. "Now Bat guy, you are going to step away from the tesseract and come with me." Batman rolled his eyes from behind the cowl. Making a joke of justice was not something he felt was exceptionable. Tesseract? That is what he called the cube. It confirmed his belief Stark was working with Luther on this one. How else would he know and be aware of the hidden power source

No response came from the Batman as he stared down this 'Iron man'. His suit seemed metal, electricity charged. It gave Batman an idea. He rolled across the room to distance himself while , reaching for his utility belt. Iron man's palm of his metal glove started to glow blue. "I guess we're doing this the hard way." Stark spoke getting serious. Bruce never thought of Stark to be capable of being serious so he saw this as mockery to his character. In seconds the two went to battle with one another. Batman dodged laser's shot off by Iron Man, tossing electrical bat-a-rangs in the process.

Meanwhile,

"Guys, more of them are coming." Green Arrow's voice spoke in the coms. From a distance he could see the American Boy with his star shield. Hawkeye dropped down behind Oliver and in seconds they both had arrows pointed at each other. "The bartender?" He mutters, before it clicked before him. Hawkeye must be a Lexcorp employee. Green Arrow smirked thinking of the unfinished business he had between the two of them. Seemingly they understood that idea, both pulled back their bow and unleashed hand to hand combat on one another. Oliver moves were non-refine, rougher than the Avenger. He interpreted Hawkeye's moves were to be trained from some intense government program, or even coming from Lex's shady dealings themself. The other archer's punches were clean, persist, and in this case, predictable. Green Arrow dodged it, catching onto the Hawk's pattern. In a second, Arrow had him pinned against the wall.

Green Arrow smirked victorious, until noticing the shift of Hawkeye's attention to behind him. Fearing it to be a trick, Green Arrow did not turn behind him. "What are you looking at-" His neck pierced with an electrical current, which hurt as badly as a spider bite. He shook, falling to the ground in stinging pain.

"Hmm, he had you pretty good there." A Russian voice cooed, stepping out of the darkness. Green Arrow looks up to see the red head he was speaking with earlier slyly smiling down at them. What was her name again? Natalie? His confused expression grew, watching the woman grin. His enemy, the archer, shifted uncomfortably as she helped him back to his feet.
