•Superman•
I woke up without a clue to where I have been. My mind flooded with thoughts and fragments. Around me there is nothing, nothing I could see. Where am I?
The tesseract. I see it right before me glistening. I know that is what I need to save Earth. I can feel someone in my mind. My body is not mine as I knocked the solider out to get to the prize. I know it will be safer out of his hands, but the actions are not my own. I find myself landing on the roof of an unusual building. A hospital. My hand reaches out, holding the tesseract tight. I know I'm supposed to meet him here. The one whose warned me about the Avengers. I trust the earth will be safer now that it is in his hands and Lex can't get to it. The building is empty when I arrive, yet now a raven before me crows. It flies behind a building where a shadow appears. Slender. Tall. I know it is him. I step forward to present him with the cube.
The man in the green garment smirks, "such a job well done, you truly are a Super-man." His raven like hair falls from his shoulders from the wind. He is not human. That I am sure. His voice sounded familiar, yet I could not place it. The uneasy feeling I had grows deeper in my stomach.
"I am just glad to keep it into the right hands."
"Indeed." The man smirks a sly, mischvuous smile coming up around his face. Little did he know that look of his gave away his intentions. In my stomach I know I made a mistake. A mistake I can not control. I go to get the cube back when my arm fails to reach out. No, no you've come so far Clark, don't ruin this lovely think we have going. A taunting voice plays in my mind. That voice. No wonder why I found it familiar, it was his. My eyes widen with shock as I look up at the man. He smirks, knowing my thoughts. I presume he is in my-head? Why of course, you didn't think you were in control this whole time Clark. Did you.
His mouth did not move an inch but I heard him. I found myself completely shut out of my body. A mind within a shell as he took over every move, every thing.
A golden stick appears in the man's hands and I realize I've been doped by a some kind of mystical creature or magic. "Let me introduce myself, shall I?" I knew I had no choice as I found myself unable to speak. He took the pause with grace. The man knew it would make me realize the severity of my situation."My name is Loki, Son of Odin and rightful heir to earth..." He circles me like a prey. Loki played me, and I fell for his act. "You shall lead us into earth's greatest battle Clark, and from what I've seen. Yes I've seen what a wonderful weapon you will be. Enough power to even oppose the Hulk I presume." He paces back and forth, in the distance I see a black helicopter landing on the pad behind him.
I try not to make eye contact with it, knowing it very well could be the legion.
I am not panicked by his words. What I know is that Loki would never be able to rule earth. Many villains and aliens have tried and all of them have failed. Earth was protected by the Justice League, and more importantly, Batman. Bruce would never stand for this. Even if they had to fight me, Bruce could put a stop to it."Don't worry, I have something in mind for that Bat problem." Loki spoke sharply, again invading the privacy of my mind, my thoughts. He slowly approached the tesseract, careful to handle it. We both knew the power it possessed. In fact, he showed me. The tesseract could level a city, easily, or bring armies.
A dark, sinister laugh came from helicopter behind Loki. Just on cue. He thought as the door of the helicopter flung open. "My-my-Christmas came early this year-" More laughter came from the helicopter as the Joker jumped out, all done up in his purple suit. "Ya know, I was a really naughty boy this year..."He smiles brightly, offering a handshake to Loki.
Loki gave a small nod instead, not wanting to be killed by the deadly buzzer he saw in the clown's left hand.
"Oh Puddin! Be glad the Grinch is givin out the gifts this year-" A soft feminine voice came out of the helicopter. I had no doubt in my mind it belonged to Harley Quinn.
"Shut up Harley! You're ruining my joke!" The Joker slams the helicopter door on her, making it clear she was to stay inside.
"I believe this is yours." Loki speaks smoothly, handing over the cube. The tesseract was now in the hands of the one and only clown prince of Gotham.
"Mmmmhmm Coal is looking a lot more explosive these days, isn't it?" The Joker chuckles, tilting his head once he saw Superman. "Hellooooo is this thing on?"
"Not yet." Loki said with a smirk, his staff glowed bright yellow. Meet your masters. A fuzzy feeling overwhelms me as I look at the two men. Energy courses through my veins. A sinister plan pouring over every corner of my mind, leaving nothing but a smile on my face.
It's clear.
I only have one job before Earth would return to peace under Loki.
Kill the AvengersI am to destroy the Avengers and anyone who gets in my way.
