I woke up with the annoying, bright sun shining in my face. I had a huge headache even though I didn't even drink last night.I hate parties.
Last night was fun, but I'm not a party person. Cameron thought that since my parents were out of town for some family business, it would be a good idea to through me this huge party. I told him I just wanted to hang out but of course, he insisted on throwing me one.
I got up from my bed and walked to the bathroom, only to be greeted with my horrifying reflection.
Swollen eyes.
Tear stains.
Messy hair.
I looked horrible. The view in front of me reminded me of nothing but the fact that Luke actually cheated on me. I washed off my face and brushed my teeth.
I walked back to my room and laid back down. Today was Sunday, meaning there was no school. There was nothing to do today. Nothing to distract me.
Cameron you idiot.
How could you forget about your best friend?
I reached out my arm to grab my phone. I pressed on Cameron's contact and heard the ringing.
"Hello?" I heard his groggy voice. It sounded like he just woke up. I looked at the clock besides me and saw that it was only 7:05.
"Cam! I'm so sorry. I didn't realize the time. You can go back to sleep."
"No. I'm talking to you. Do you need anything?"
I sighed and nodded even though he couldn't see me.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out today?" I asked.
I heard Cameron laugh which made me close my eyes, hoping I didn't say anything embarrassing "Are you really asking if we can hangout? You know you can just walk into my house. You even have a key. What's wrong?"
"I don't know, Cameron. Last night was just so messy and everything happened so quickly. I don't know if I'm overreacting but it's just so much to handle all at once." I started crying.
"Don't cry. I'll be over in like 5 minutes." He said in a soothing voice. Before I could protest, he hung up.
Cameron lived right across the street from me so I guess he's getting ready. He has some clothes here and he even has a toothbrush so I don't know why he can't just get ready here.
I looked out my window to see Madison angrily walking out of the front door. Cameron followed behind her and rolled his eyes with a backpack hanging on his shoulder.
Every time Cam has his backpack with him, he brings snacks and stuff that would cheer me up. So he pretty much brings his backpack when I'm not feeling well or when I really need him.
There was a clicking sound coming from downstairs which meant Cameron was unlocking the door with the key I gave him a few years ago.
Footsteps echoed through the halls as Cameron ran to my room. He closed and locked my door and sat on my bed.
"Tell me everything that you think is wrong." He said and poured all of his chocolates and different candies on my bed sheets.
"I'm the reason Luke broke up with me. He lost his virginity with someone else because I wasn't good enough. It's all my fault. I know you told me not to blame myself but I don't know how not to blame myself. It's all my fault." I let a tear slip out of my eye. Cam wiped it off with his thumb.
