^^btw, that's Eva's mom^^
"Hey mom." I hugged my mother as she walked through the front door.
"My precious Eva! I missed you!" She hugged me tightly.
"I missed you too."
My dad stood next to me and rested his arm on my shoulder. "Eva, isn't there something you need to tell your mom?"
"No." I scrunched my eyebrows with confusion. Then I remembered, I've been home for a day and I still need to stay here for 2 more days because I was suspended. "Oh...yeah..."
"What? What is it? Are you and Cam finally together? I've been waiting for so long-"
"No, mom. I haven't spoken to Cam for a while. I got suspended from school."
"Excuse me?" She looked confused.
"Yeah. Suspended. For 3 days." I sighed.
"Tell her the full story, Eva." My dad sat on the couch and so did my mom and I.
I picked the skin on my fingers and bit my lip. "So there's this kid, Robin, he's the principals son. He was hitting me in the gym and calling me...names. Bad names. His father, the principal, walked in and Robin told him that he was just defending himself because I started the 'fight'" I sighed and started at my mom.
"I'm not sure I heard a reason why they had to suspend you. You told them you didn't start it, right?"
"Let the girl talk." My father told my mom.
"Right, sorry."
"I tried telling him that I didn't start it but of course, since Robin is his son, the principal believed him-"
"That son of a bi-"
"Mom, please. Let me finish. I went to the office with the principal to answer some questions that would make me 'confess' that I started the fight, which I didn't. Robin's dad decided to suspend me for 3 days so I left the office to leave but Robin got in my way and said that Madison, Cams girlfriend, made him do it. And he said that...Cameron was also involved."
"What?" My mom gasped. She stood up, dusted off her skirt with her hands and picked up her house keys. "I'm going to tell Gina about this. I can't believe it. You know what? I'm going to the school right after, too."
"Mom, please, no. Don't do it."
"I'm going and you're coming with me." She pulled me by my arm and paced towards the door.
"Mom, I don't have my shoes on." She looked up and down my outfit which was just a pair of pink yoga pants and a white t-shirt with a unicorn in the middle.
"You need new clothes. Hurry up and get your shoes on." I slipped on my white converse and we both exited the house.
We crossed the street to Cams house and Gina opened the door. "Daniella? You're finally back! And Eva, I haven't seen you in a while."
"Yeah, yeah, hi. We're here to talk about your son." My mom spoke.
"Cam? He's actually here right now. Do you want me to get him?"
"No, that's not necessa-" I tried to speak.
"CAMERON! GET DOWN HERE!" Gina yelled and I covered my ears.
"What?" He spat. I've never heard him speak like that to his mother. He usually answers with 'yes mom?'.
"We have guests."
"Right now?" I checked the time on my phone and saw that it was 10:34 in the morning and it was a Wednesday.
Isn't he supposed to be at school?
"Oh, hey." Cam walked up to the door and waved at my mom. "I have somewhere to go right now." He quickly spoke and walked away.
"Cameron Alexander Dallas! Here. Now!"
"What do you want?" He sounded annoyed "I have somewhere very important to go to right now."
"Where is that?"
"It's none of your business. I'll see you later. Bye Mrs.Jackson." Cameron grabbed his coat and pushed through us and went into his car.
"I'm sorry about his attitude. He hasn't been himself lately. I don't know how you can stand him, Eva." She chuckled "Anyways, come to dinner tonight. Even Edward. I haven't seen you guys in a while and it would be nice to get all of us back together again."
"Well, I don't think-"
"That would be amazing, Gina. We'll be here at 6!" My mom smiled and waved.
"Alright. See you tonight!" Gina closed the door and I glared at my mom.
"What was that for?!"
"Free food. You can never dodge that kind of opportunity."

"I'm sorry, Mrs.Jackson. There is nothing we can do about your daughters suspension. I really do want to help but I'm only the secretary. Dr.Adam isn't here today and he's the only one that can talk about suspension."
"What kind of school doesn't have a principal present during the day?" My mom snapped.
"I'm sorry, Mrs.Jackson."
"Mmhm." My mom and I said at the same time.
We walked out of the school and made our way back home.
