"So what are you doing for Christmas?" Nash asked as we left the school for winter break.

"I don't know. Probably hang out with my family since Cam isn't talking to me." Cameron hasn't talked to me since Monday and now it's Friday. I just hope we're not going to break our last 'no talking to each other' record. "Well, I'll see you next week! You have my number right?" I asked Nash.

"Yes I do." Nash waved his phone in the air "you're the only person I have on my contacts that isn't part of my family."

"Okay, bye." I hugged him and walked onto my bus. I passed by Cameron but he avoided making any sort of contact. I sat in the middle of the bus with some random person.

The whole ride home was long and boring. When I got to my stop, Cameron and I got up and went opposite ways to our houses.

"Hey Eva." My dad hugged me as I walked through the front door.

"Dad!" I hugged him really tight "You guys are finally home!"

"Well...I'm home. Your mom had to stay back because your grandma is really sick. Your mother said she didn't like you staying by yourself for too long." He explained.

"Oh. Alright." I put my backpack down and went to the kitchen to grab a snack.

"Where's Cameron?" My dad asked. I took a yogurt out of the fridge and grabbed a spoon out of one of the drawers.

"Um..." I wasn't sure if I should tell him or not "he's not coming. I haven't talked to him since Monday." I mumbled.

"What? Why?" He asked with wide eyes. My father and Cam have this type of father-son relationship. My dad calls Cameron 'the son he never got'.

"Something bad happened at school and his girlfriend just stood there and watched. I tried telling him but Cameron just denied everything I said. He told me to shut up and that's when we stopped talking." I sighed.

"That doesn't sound like Cameron." My dad shook his head.

"Why can't anybody believe me?" I groaned and ran up to my room. I jumped onto my bed and stuffed my face into my pillow.

My phone rang which meant I got a text message. I picked my head up and grabbed my phone, hoping that Cameron would be the one texting me.

But of course, it wasn't. It was some random number.

Unknown:
Hey Eva! It's Nash.

I smiled.

Me:
Hey Nash 😀 what's up?

Nash:
Nothing. I was just making sure this was your number and you didn't give me a random number.

Me:
And why would I do that? 😂

Nash:
I have trust issues....
I'm going to let you be. I'll text you later.

Me:
Okay. Bye.

I turned off my phone and opened my yogurt. There was a knock on my door and I saw my dad.

"I'm sorry for not believing you. It's just that it doesn't sound like something Cameron would do."

"It's alright. I'm just stressed and I've been so lonely." I groaned.

"Me too." Cameron walked into the room. My eyes widened and I looked at my dad.

"I'll let you guys talk." My dad walked out of the room and closed the door.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.
