I walked down the extremely long hallway of my school and walked into the office.

"You wanted to see me Ms.Adams?" I questionably told the front desk lady.

"No, actually, Mr.Johnson wanted to see you. Do you know where his office is?" She asked, pointing to the direction of the counselors office anyways.

"Yes I do. Thank you." I walked into the small office and saw Mr.Johnson. "Hello sir. What did you want to see me for?"

"You must be Eva. Please, sit." I sat down in one of the comfortable, old chairs. "I've been told that you...self harm." He intertwined his fingers together and rested them on his desk.

I felt a lump form in my throat and I tried my best not to cry. "Um...who told you that?" My voice cracked.

"The young boy with the blue eyes. I think his name was Nash." I thought of the last time I saw Nash. It was about last week. The day after I cut. I knew he was staring at the scars that I was trying to hide but I chose to ignore it. "He told me to talk to you and ask if you need help. He also told me not to contact your parents until you gave me the permission to do so. So, tell me Eva, do you need someone to talk to? If you are not comfortable talking to me about it, I can bring in another counselor."

I shook my head and faked a smile. "I'm fine. It was just some personal business but I'm feeling alright now. Thank you." I tried getting up as fast as I could but before heading out the door, i turned back around to face Mr.Johnson "And there is no need to call my parents. They know what has been going on." I lied, which was not common, and left the schools office.

I walked into my science room and sat in my seat next to Nash. "So you've noticed my scars?" I whispered.

"I'm sorry. If you're upset, I didn't mean to make you mad-"

"It's fine. I'm not upset." I smiled.

"Students, today is the day you will present your projects you have been working on." The whole class groaned "and I've already picked the order you will be going in. Let's see..." The teacher looked at her clipboard while everybody was crossing their fingers not to be picked to present first. "Ah, here it is. First to present will be Eva." My eyes turned slightly wider than their usual size. "Eva, please come up here to present."

I pushed back my chair to walk up to the front.

*11 years earlier*

"Eva, it's your turn to share." My third grade teacher said with a huge smile.

I stood up confidently and walked to the front of the room. "Today I will be sharing the story line of Charlottes Web." I looked around the room to see the bored students playing with the things on their desks...and Cameron. He seemed so happy with his big smile plastered on his face. "T-the s-story starts off w-with..." I suddenly started to stutter. Everybody started laughing. Everybody except for Cam. My smile I had dropped and turned into a frown. I ran out of the room and heard footsteps following me.

"Eva, wait! Please, I don't like running!" I recognized Cameron's voice. I stopped and turned to face him, tears already pouring out of my eyes.

"They're all laughing...at me." I sobbed and fell to the floor. I know I was being a bit dramatic but not many people stay calm when their whole class starts laughing at them. "I'm such an embarrassment."

*Present day*

"Well..." I looked around the students of my science class that looked tired and bored. My eyes landed on Nash, who seemed to be paying all of his attention to me. I saw Cameron who seemed like he didn't even noticed that I was presenting. "The periodic table..." Cameron's head turned towards me, making another lump in my throat form. "...it is v-very i-interesting." The class started giggling and I heard people mocking my stutter. Tears formed and were begging to fall out when I saw Cameron and Madison laughing, too.

I ran out of the room and into the girls bathroom. My makeup was running down my cheeks and I was shaking.

"Eva!" Nash barged into the bathroom, not even caring that it was for ladies. "What happened back there? Are you alright? Please tell me you're fine."

"Everyone always laughs at me." I cried into his shirt. Nash did what he always does to comfort me by rubbing my back.

"It's fine. I didn't laugh at you and those people back there, they don't know who they're messing with."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, you may seem like a punching bag to them but inside lives the strongest girl ever." I looked up at Nash and smiled.

Before thinking anything over too long, I got rid of the small space that was between us by smashing my lips onto his.

After about 10 seconds, I pulled away and looked to see a smiling Nash. "That was nice." Nash said. I blushed and looked down. Nash lifted my head and attached my lips to his again.

"Aw, look who finally found someone that loves her. Oh wait, I meant paid." I heard Madison say. I rolled my eyes and tried to walk out but she was blocking the way. "I'm not letting you out yet."

"Move out of the way, bitch." Nash spat.

"Sorry. No can do. If you don't want me to tell the principal what you two were doing in here, I suggest you listen to what I have to say." She spat. Nash placed his hand on the middle of my back as we both just stood there. "Cameron is my boyfriend and if I hear him say one more word about you Eva, I swear, one of you is going to be hurt real bad." I'm not going to lie, a spark of happiness hit me when Madison said Cameron still talks about me but what does she want with Nash?

"Do whatever you want to me but what did Nash do to you?"

"Nothing, but he's your friend and you guys obviously like each other so it would hurt the both of you if one of you got hurt." She smirked and crossed her arms. "You can exit now, but remember that if I hear Cameron talk about how he 'messed up big time' I'm going to hurt you." She pointed at Nash and I.
