(A/N: Hey gaymers sorry for the super late update, I literally had no motivation whatsoever. Anyways enjoy this super yummy angst I wrote <3)

“Cosmic, hurry!” Supernova called again, sounding a bit impatient from waiting on his child.

“I’m coming, father!” Cosmic yelled back. The young child skipped across the playground, sand being kicked up in the process. Once her father figure came into view, she picked up her pace and ran over.

“Did you have fun?” Supernova would ask, crouching down to face the small child in front of him.

Cosmic nodded her head excitedly, hands clenched in front of her chest as she bounced up and down. “Yeah! Yeah! I made a new friend, too! His name is Izuku!!” She exclaimed.

Supernova smiled softly, finding amusement in his child’s enthusiasm. He lifted a hand to softly pet her hair, ruffling the straight black strands. He moved to lift Cosmic up by her arms, holding her on his hip as he began to leave the park. “Well, I'm glad you had fun, my little star.”

Rumble rumble…

Cosmic sat comfortably against her father, looking around the busy city streets curiously. Her eyes lit up when she saw a familiarly colorful shop on the street corner. “Ooh, Father! Can we get ice cream? Please!” She begged, giving her most pitiful looking puppy eyes she could muster.

Supernova chuckled and shook his head. “Alright, alright. But only if you go in and order it yourself.

Cosmic froze. She always struggled with social interactions, like ordering food at a restaurant, or asking a teacher for help.

But… she really wanted that ice cream.

Rumble rumble…

“Okay, deal!” She finally announced, looking up at Supernova with a determined look in her star-filled eyes.

The older man smiled. “How convenient of you to make your decision once we’re right in front of the ice cream parlor.” He teased, laughing light-heartedly.

Cosmic looked up, and sure enough, they were right in front of the ice cream shop. Sometimes, it felt like her dad did these things on purpose…

Supernova set the young girl down on the ground and reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, grabbing a 1000 yen bill and handing it to Cosmic. “Get whatever you like,” He smiled. “And make sure to bring father back cookie dough, okay?”

Cosmic graciously took the bill from her father’s hands, nodding in acceptance. “I’ll be right back! I’ll be back before you can say, uhm, ice cream cone!” She yelled over her shoulder as she ran into the ice cream shop.

Supernova stood up fully and chuckled, shaking his head in amusement as his daughter excitedly ran inside for the frozen treats. He was proud of her for going in by herself and talking to strangers, even if she was being given a reward for it.

Rumble rumble… rumble…

Cosmic shuffled inside the cozy yet lively shop. Despite no one looking at her (except for the skinny and daunt looking man and a sunken face, who smiled at her as he held the door open), she felt as though all eyes were on her.

The young lady at the counter smiled down at Cosmic when she approached, welcoming the child with her eyes.

“Hey there, sweetheart.” She waved, tucking a bit of hair behind her ears. “What can I get you?”
