When we pulled to her driveway I was in a state of shock, like damn this house was huge! Like really huge! I was standing speechless just starring at the house when Ellie said

'Hello? Are you coming??'

'Haha yeah, sorry. I'm right behind you.'

'Welcome to my humble home.' Ellie said as she opened the front door.

'Ok listen girl, this home is anything but humble, I mean, it's like a freaking hotel for God's sake!' I say laughing while sitting on the big couch. I don't know, something about this place makes me feel good and hey that couch seemed really cozy.

'Well it was just a phrase, haha I'm happy you're feeling comfortable though.' She said as she settles her self next to me.

'Mom I'm home!' She then yells and with that I quickly stand up from the couch. Ellie laughs atoms reaction. I guess I was so used to being alone without my parents all day in the house that I forgot that not everyone was like that.

'I'm in the kitchen!'

'Come!' Ellie says as she starts walking towards the kitchen.

'Hey sweety, how was school?' Ellie's mom asks.

'As boring, as dad's jokes.' Ellie says and her mom chuckles.

'I think he'll be very happy to hear that haha.' She says back.

'Anyway mom this is Kiera!'

'Oh hey Kiera!' Mrs Peterson said as she gave me her hand.

'Nice to meet you Mrs Peterson.' I say with a wide smile on my face as I shake her hand.

'Ok we're going to my room so we can start the project. Love you mom!' She says as she kisses her mother on the cheek.

'Love you too Ellie, tell me if you need anything. Lunch will be ready in half an hour, oh and where's your brother?'

'Um I think he has football practice' She says as we exit the room.

Her room was in the second floor so we climb up the stairs like two 5 year olds, laughing and talking. When we finally make it to her room Ellie opens the door with a dramatic look on her face and says:

'This is where the magic happens.'

'And by magic you mean, sitting on the bed while eating and watching Netflix?' I tease her back.

'Hey just because I am a nerd doesnt mean I dont have a social life, in fact I have a boyfriend' She says smiling at me with sparkling eyes. Ok now I'm sure Ellie's boyfriend is Adam, but I don't bother to ask. If she wanted me to know she would already tell me, besides we've only just met today so I don't blame her if she doesn't want to tell me.

'Hello? Earth to Kiera?' Ellie snaps me out of my thoughts.

'Yeah I'm here. I-I was just wondering if I can use the bathroom for a bit.'

'Yeah sure third door to the left.'

'Thanks' I say as I walk out of the bedroom. Ok sure I wanted to put some water on my face after that whole «Adam thing» but I'm not gonna lie, I needed to pee really bad too.

After about 10 minutes I head back to Ellie's room but I hear talking coming from inside the room so I decide to eavesdrop. I'm not really the kind of girl that would do such a thing, it's just that I heard my name and I was curious.

I couldn't hear clearly though cause they were whispering, so I just go ahead and open the door; To see of course Ellie and Adam sitting on the bed together. The window was open so I figured out he climbed his way up. How «Romeo and Juliet», right? Gosh I just threw up a little in my mouth.
