I knock on the door and walk in the classroom
'Excuse me, may I help you?'
An old woman with British accent and gray hair says, probably Mrs Baylie.
'Eh, yes I'm Kiera Anderson'
'Oh but of course! You're the new student, right dear?'
'Yes' I say.
Now, I'm not the shy type but it's not really my thing having 48 eyes staring at me.
'Good, may I have your attention please?' she asks, referring to those same 48 eyes staring at me that I'm pretty sure they were already paying attention the whole time I've been in here, anyways.
'We have a new student, her name is Kiera Anderson so let's make her feel welcome. 'Take the seat next to Ms Peterson, please.'
That would be great if I knew who ms Peterson is. The voice in my head said.
'Oh I'm sorry, third row, fourth seat.' Mrs Baylie finally speaks up.
'Thank you'. Jeez I almost bount down to her, must be the British accent.
I walk up and take my seat.
'Hey I'm Ellie' the girl with the red curls next to me said.
'Hi I'm Kiera' I smile back, then our little chat was interrupted by Mrs Baylie's voice:
'Ok I will need the worksheets done by tomorrow and I'm also pairing you with the person sitting next to you for the project of the month.'
Ellie smiles at me and I smile back, Ok she seems like a nice person so I'm not arguing with that.
The Bell rings and everyone heads out of the classroom, but I first make a stop in front of the teacher's desk.
'What do you need Kiera ?' Mrs Baylie said with a warm smile shaped on her lips.
'Um sorry for disturbing but I don't have the worksheets you told us about earlier.'
'Oh but of course here you are dear.' she said as she handed me the worksheets and with that I smile to her and head out of the classroom to find an excited Ellie waiting for me.
'I'm so happy we're paired up together for the project! I've never been paired up with a girl before, because Mrs Baylie always pairs me up with a guy named Ross cause his grades are awful and she thinks that I will somehow help him get more interested in the subject. Well bullshit the only thing he's interested in, is eating all the food out of my fridge when we meet up for the stupid project!' She says breathing heavily, God did she say all that without taking a second breath? Jesus, she should definitely try swimming.
'Eh yes I'm excited too' I manage to say.
'Cool, so you should come with me after school, so we can get started on it cause I hate handing projects the day before.' She said with a tone of excitement in her voice.
'Um ok sure, I will have to ask my parents first but I don't think there will be a problem.'
'Awesome, what class do you have next?' she asks as something behind me caught her attention.
'Biology' I say as I turn my head to the direction she was looking at, to see of course Adam walking with his friends, while all the girls in the hallway were drooling all over him. Told you he was in the 'royal side'. As he was approaching us, he winked at Ellie and with that I snap my head quickly away from his sight. Oh my God did he really wink at her? I know I'm not Einstein-smart but that was an act of flirting, which means he was flirting with Ellie, therefore he was into Ellie! I don't blame him though Ellie was beautiful with her long red curls falling onto her waist and her big green eyes, actually I wouldn't blame him at all!
Although I don't know why but I felt like somebody stamped me in the heart with a small knife. Adam finally comes up to us and I just found myself in a really uncomfortable situation, so before he could even say anything I just turn around and start walking away as fast I can.
'Hey where are you going?' Ellie says not too loudly, but loud enough for me to hear her.
'I just really have to go, because I don't want to be late for my next class too.' I manage to spill out.
'Um ok see you at the break then.' She answers back as I dissappear as fast as I can, turning into a random classroom.
Probably a bad move.
