The rest of the class was boring and I was waiting patiently for the bell to ring, glaring at my watch every 2 seconds.

Finally the bell rang and I was free again.

As i exit the class i remember the knee who's hurting like a badass so i decide to go to the Nurse's.

'There, it will hurt for a while but only for a couple of days and you need to rest it, ok honey?'The nurse say as she put something greasy on my knee.

'Ok, thank you Ms.'I thank her as I exit the room.

'Oh! Look who has a brand new knee!' I turn around and see Dominic standing there.

And i just take a bow. 'You didn't have to wait for me outside.'

'Haha you're funny, trust me i wouldn't wait for you anywhere, it's my locker here. See?' He says as he points at the green locker.

Way to go Kiera!

'Right! Well i can see you can't really get sarcasm.' Saved it.

'Maybe i can't.' He says. 'Anyways how's the knee?'

'Wonderful, thanks for pushing me to go to the nurse by the way.'

'No worries, anyway isn't that what people who hate each other do?'

I laugh a little, this guy is hilarious. 'I guess this is what they do.' I answer.

'Health is wealth.' He says taking me aback.

'Excuse me?' I say.

'Health is wealth.' He repeats himself smiling at me.

'Well i guess you're right. Health is Wealth.' I say back.

Health is Wealth

I've heard this phrase a million times. I'm not even kidding I swear I've heard it so many times since the day I was born, that I'm pretty sure those three words were my first ones.

Ok not really but you know what I mean. The thing is, that if you're the daughter of the chief of The General Hospital of New York, those three words are supposed to be in your vocabulary before 'mom' and 'dad' were. But it's not people's responsibility to be aware of not getting sick. I mean sure, you can keep away your self from colds, but you can't keep away your self from cancer.

I try to shake off these sad thoughts and i imminently remember Taylor's Swift 'Shake it Off' and smile to the goofiness of that video. I really love Taylor. She rocks.

I enter into the unfamiliar room, to see that all the tables were filled with hungry teens. I then recognize a voice screaming my name, of course it was Nora. She was sitting on a big table with her friends, big group of friends actually, of both sexes. Then to my surprise I hear another familiar voice screaming my name from the other side of the cafeteria , I turn my attention there, to see Ellie weaving at me. Shoot! Now I have to decide where to sit: with my sister and her friends or with Ellie and her friends that I can't see clearly because people are blocking my sight.

I panic and decide to sit with Ellie, I guess it's more appropriate to sit with people closer to my age. I mean, I would totally feel awkward sitting next to seniors, but before I go there I make my way to Nora first.

'Hey are you sitting with us?' She says, as she moves her things from the chair next to her, for me to sit.

'No, no leave them there. I'm actually sitting with some guys over there.' I answer as I point at Ellie's table.

'Oh ok! Who's the girl weaving at you?'She asks.

'That's Ellie, we have English together, she's really nice. I'm actually going over to her place after school for a project.'

'Cool, don't forget to tell mom, though. She'll freak out if she doesn't find you home when she comes from work.'

My mom is a lawyer and she always arrives home at 7 pm straight . Although sometimes, she stays at the office until 9 pm.

'Don't worry, I was just about to call her. Anyway see you later!' I say, as I distance my self from Nora's table.

'Bye!' She answers back.

I then head to Ellie's table and sit next to her.

'Aye! What's up girl?' Ellie says as she bites her sandwich passionately.

'I'm good! How are you?' I answer back.

'Hungry.' A familiar voice across the table said. I look up straight and see Adam.

'Haha very funny Adam.' Ellie says, as she rolls her eyes to him.

'It's true though.' She adds smiling back at him.

Now I'm completely sure there is something going on between them, I mean this teasing is more than friendly! I've had boyfriends before and I know.  OK maybe a few, OK maybe just one in 3rd grade but, you know what I mean!

'So I gotta go call my mom to ask her for later. I'll be right back.' I say.

'Yeah sure.' Ellie says.

I walk a little further from where I was sitting and take my phone out of my pocket.

'Hey sweety, is everything ok?' My mom's voice greeted me from the other side of the line.

'Hey mom, yeah everything is ok. I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to a new friend's house after school for a project.'

'Project? But it's the first day of school.' She says.

'Yeah I know, Ellie said tha-' And then I was cut off by my own mother.

'Honey you can go, I totally trust you, but I really have to go now. See you later, love you.' And then she hung up.

I shouldn't be surprised, this was always the case. I know mom loves us and all, but she's always so busy that it gets tiring.
I just go back to the table and sit down.

'So are you coming over?' Ellie asked.

'Yeah she said okay.' I smile back at her.

'Awesome, by the way where's your food?'

'Right my food! Jeez I almost forgot about it.' I say and take out of my bag a big, juicy sandwich. Hey after all, I am a foodie.

After the final period was over, I waited outside class 13 for Ellie to come out, as we arranged.

'Hey!' I say to her, trying to get her attention.

'Hey Kiera!' She says.

'So are you ready to go?' I ask her.

'Yeah I'm just waiting to see if my brother shows up. We have this system; I basically wait for him for five minutes after the last bell rings, if he doesn't show up it means he has football practice.'

'Cool, I didn't know you have a brother.' I say kinda shocked, but you know, not really.

'Well we've only just met today so the odd would be, if you knew that I have a brother.'

'Right! I keep forgetting that.' I say back.

'Ok girl let's hit the road.' She says as we make our way to her car. Really nice car to be exact. It was a black jeep, I always loved jeeps.
