~Sulli left Zephyrine for awhile in the garden because she heard Minho in her thoughts that Taemin and Zephyrine should talk, while Sulli was gone, Taemin entered the garden having second thoughts on approaching his mate.
“What if she’ll get scared? Will she be angry and furious and run away?” he thought and he began to feel fear himself, fear of losing the one he wants the most.
“GO APOLOGIZE YOU IDIOT!” Taemin heard Minho shouted in his thoughts, sometimes he finds his ability to read minds a nuisance in privacy, he thought that his brother knows too much sometimes.
“FINE! FINE!! NOW STAY OUT OF MY HEAD!” Taemin shouted in his mind and then walked towards Zephyrine who was admiring the garden. She heard footsteps coming near her and when she turned her head her eyes widened on the person approaching. Her heart began to race and her instinct told her to run, “Wait! Don’t be afraid!” Taemin quickly shouted before she could go, but she ran anyway. Taemin chased her meaning no harm but he couldn’t blame Zephyrine why she’s acting like this, she felt like Taemin was death fast approaching towards her.
“Let go!” she shouted as he was able to grip her wrist and never wanting to let her go, Taemin caught her other wrist and pinned her on a wall of bushes, she squirmed and hated the feeling of being trapped again by him and her tears threatened to fall.
“N-no please don’t cry…I’m sorry! I’m sorry Zephyrine I didn’t mean to scare you, please don’t cry!” Taemin realized he shouldn’t have pinned her and hugged her tightly instead, somehow she felt his sadness and regret that she calmed down, she felt his warmness and sincerity that she let him hug her for awhile…it was okay…he’s safe to handle.
“Taemin…” Zephyrine said a little uneasy, Taemin looked at her and what she saw almost made her chuckle, he was the one who told her not to cry but now he’s the one crying. She wiped his tears and poked his cheek, “Don’t think that pout of yours will fix anything” she rolled her eyes and Taemin smiled, tightening his embrace around her.
“I wasn’t able to control myself, I’m sorry…it’s been days that I haven’t tasted your blood and it drove me crazy…”
“Just don’t do that again Taemin…please control yourself. You weren’t the sweet person I thought you were when you suddenly changed into a beast like creature, I don’t like that side of yours…its…terrifying.”
“I know, but it can’t be helped…that side of me appears eventually, and it’s a part of me you have to accept, all Ferus have that side Zephyrine…even Myungsoo!”
Zephyrine looked a little down after hearing that, Taemin placed his hands on her shoulders staring intensely at her.
“I love you Zephy, and I cannot forgive myself if I deeply hurt you again…but can you forgive me? For what I did earlier?” Zephyrine nodded slowly and this made Taemin really happy, he’s thankful that his mate is such a forgiving person.
“Okay, just to get this off our minds lets go to town and have a stroll, I’m sure you’d like it…lets grab some ice cream!” Taemin suggested and Zephyrine followed him, they got inside an ice cream parlor and got themselves their favorite flavors of ice cream, in front of their table was a body-sized mirror and Zephyrine couldn’t help but look at their reflection there. They were having fun, Taemin obviously going hyper because of the happiness and sugar rush but Zephyrine couldn’t help but feel a weird feeling, she somehow feel eyes looking towards them and she wasn’t just imagining things, because when she took a glimpse at the mirror she saw a reflection of a girl looking at them, she was sitting a few tables away and when Zephyrine turned her head to see that table, she wasn’t there anymore.
