Yunhos’s Story:
I gaped at Zephyrine as she told me she knew I’m a Ferus, I was surprise of course since there are only a few humans who know of our existence, she managed to close my mouth by lifting my chin…well that was embarrassing.
“How did you know?” I asked.
“I just do…well it’s a long story and I doubt you’ll believe me” she replied fidgeting, a hint of sadness in her eyes.
“Tell me; are you a mate of a Ferus? I was poisoned when I drank your blood, I’m pretty sure you know what that means…”
“Well…yeah I—“
She stopped as her cell phone rang, she picked it up with a surprised look on her face, “You’re here? Now? But—I’ll check my sched first, are you near?” I heard her speak; it seems that she’s talking to someone important and she hung up, she apologized for the interruption.
“Just one question who’s your mate?” I wanted to know badly but she wasn’t able to answer when a guy running towards us caught her attention, he seems rather familiar as he draws near…Myungsoo? I recognized him when he finally reached us and he looked at me stunned too, and there I think I don’t need to ask Zephyrine who is the Ferus she’s destined with.
“Hyung? What are you doing here?” he asked and I stood up giving him a playful punch, “We didn’t meet for two years and that’s how you greet me? By asking what am I doing here?”
“Oh sorry hyung it’s just that—it’s shocking…”
“You don’t look that shock, more like afraid! Ha-ha just kidding, how are you doing? You disappeared after the war between us and the druids, are you with her?” I pointed at Zephyrine as she stood up besides Myungsoo and he put his hands around her shoulder, “Yes I’m with her, and we’re just fine hyung…I’d love to stay and chat but I think we can talk about this on another day? I have plans…with her, sorry hyung…”
Zephyrine elbowed him and I understood Myungsoo has the freedom to do what he wants since he was only able to stay in the castle for a short time; I can’t blame him if he wasn’t so fond of us.
Now I know why Zephyrine knows about the Ferus…
“Yunho…excuse me but I have to go, we can have a chat next time if you want, this annoying guy over here wants me to go with him!” Zephyrine smiled and waved, “Hyung…it’s good to see you, I’m sorry for leaving so fast but—“
“Don’t worry about it, it’s nice to see you too Myungsoo, I shouldn’t disturb you guys anyway…have a nice date!” I finally stood up and walked away, somehow finding out about them made me feel relief for the first time I have worked here, besides Taemin and well…Myungsoo, I don’t know any Ferus staying in this town and I don’t know any humans here either. But knowing that Zephyrine knows of our clan makes me feel happy, it’s not going to be so lonely here after all, I have someone to open up to.
Zephyrine’s story:
Yunho…should I tell him more or that’s just how it’s going to get? If I tell him all it would be more complicated, it’s either he is going to believe me and help or doubt me and put myself to shame. Is it even worth the risk? Life has been peaceful until I saw Taemin again…
“Can you walk faster?” Myungsoo complained with a smile and dragged me towards the university gates; I forgot about him as my thoughts drifted, I’m not sure where we are actually going.
