Follow along with the story as a fairy whose lost away in the human realm tries to make a way for herself as a chef. Her love for food and creative dishes, drives her to work her way up from waitress to head chef. Except her boss's closest from form...
Hi everyone. It's been a while, and I wanted to share an update on my writing journey. A while back, I mentioned starting a new page so I could grow beyond writing about specific celebrities while still centering Black women. Since then, life has taken me through some major changes. School, moving to a new state, and most recently, losing someone very dear to me. My family dog passed away. It might sound strange to some, but he truly meant a lot to me. He felt like a little four-legged brother. He was elderly, dealing with health issues, and in a lot of pain when he died, and it really broke me.
During my time away from the app, I actually poured myself into writing. I've been working on manuscripts for several books at once. It's chaotic, but that's just how my process works. Through all of it, he was always there, curled up beside me while I typed, or kept me company while I brainstormed in my room. I always felt like he was my biggest supporter, even when I wasn't supporting myself. I struggle with my mental health and often self-sabotage, so after he passed, it was incredibly hard to keep writing. It's only been a few weeks, and every time I feel like giving up, I can't shake the feeling that I'd be letting him down somehow.
So, I've made the decision to finally publish a book on my new page. It's not perfect, but I don't want to overthink it and ruin something that could be meaningful as it is. I think it's better to put the work out there now and improve as I go. If I still have supporters here, it would mean the world if you checked out my new book. Starting tomorrow, I'll be posting a new chapter every other day. The book is finished and also available on Amazon. Which was a huge goal of mine! I'm proud of myself for following through, even with all the trial and error of self-publishing.
The book is called "SPARKS BETWEEN US." The female lead is an African American girl named Nadia Kitchen, and the male lead is a Vietnamese American boy named Onyx Pham. You can find it under the name Jordyn Daniel on wattpad. It's currently $15.49 on Amazon, and I earn a $3 commission from each sale. But I'm just as grateful for anyone who reads it here on Wattpad.
Right now, I'm finalizing the manuscript for my next book, "Meet The Sparks," which originally started as an idea for an Ateez's Mingi related book, but has since become its own story. I'm excited for you all to read that as well. I have so many plans for my writing journey, and I hope you'll be a part of it.
Thank you so much for all your kindness and support. ❤️
